    - Please Help!! I am having problems restoring a backup money file from my cdrw disc. I recieve the error that it can't open possibly because it is a read only file or you do not have permission to change it or your disk drive is write protected. I have never had this problem before. You then place your own name and address in the bottom of the list at #6, and post the article in at least 200 newsgroups. (There are thousands) No catch, that was it. So after thinking it over, and talking to few people first, I thought about trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right? Like most of us I was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it, so I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office (1-800-725-2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal! Then I invested the measly $6.00. Well GUESS WHAT? Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end second week I had made a total over $1,000.00! In the third week I had over $10,000.00 and it`s still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it`s still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I have spent more than that on the lottery!! Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why it works? Also, make sure you print a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it, as you need it. STEP 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST." Now get 6 US $1.00 bills and place ONE inside EACH of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. Next, place one paper in each stating the above phrase, your name and address, and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is creating a service by this. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL!     - recurring deposit missing in budget When I created a recurring deposit with an end date, it shows up on the reports but not when I edit the budget. I therefore cannot see its effect in the planning phase of the budget. When I remove the end date, the transaction shows up in both the reports and the budget editing screens. Any ideas?     - Money & Versacheck Memo Line I'm running Money 2004 OEM Edition and the latest Versacheck 2004 Silver. When I try to print to the Versacheck print driver, the memo line does not print where it is supposed to... almost overlays the MICR line. Depending upon the *MONEY* font chosen the problem appears on all 3 checks on a page, the top check only, or the bottom check only. Seems to be no rhyme or reason why the font change makes a difference. All other fields pass through correctly from Money to Versacheck. Versacheck tech support has been less than helpful, to put it mildly. At one point they said don't bother using memos!     - ATM as Payment Method in 03 Bills & Deposits? I'm surprised this hasn't been asked or mentioned before: I don't have the option of selecting "ATM" as the payment method in M03 Bills and Deposits. I have a weekly ATM cash withdrawl setup in B&D, the payment method is currently set as Other. The only way (I can see), to set the check number field to 'ATM' is, after entering the transaction into the register, click edit, and then select the value ATM from a list. The list presented in the register, for the number field (in the Withdrawal tab) appears to be the same list in B&D, absent the value ATM.     - Paying Bills - newbie question Hi Folks, I set up some bills in Money 2003 and when I enter the check into the register, it deducts the specified amount from the checking account as expected. However, when I actually pay the bill in real life with a check, my bank, of course, also registers it and it is logged as cleared check when I automatically update my checking account on line. So, the bill payment is being recorded twice in the checking account. Once when the actual check clears, and again when I ennter the bill into the register at payment time. Isn't there a way to assign a check transaction, which has been automatically downloaded from my bank, to pay a bill in MS Money? NO olvides publicar todo el anuncio o carta pero con TU NOMBRE en la posiciÃ³n # 6, y yo Pablo JosÃ© en la posiciÃ³n # 5 desapareciendo el #1; cuÃ¡ndo ya tengas prÃ¡ctica sÃ³lo te tomarÃ¡ unos 30 segundos por cada Newsgroup!. Ejem. De Buscadores ( Google, Altavista, Hispavista, Latinbusca, etc. ) Se recomienda, ademÃ¡s, que cuando publiques la descripciÃ³n de este artÃculo trates de darle un nombre que sea "atractivo que atrape", como "NECESITA DINERO RAPIDO?, LEA ESTE ARTICULO" o "NECESITA DINERO PARA PAGAR SUS DEUDAS?", Etc. y no asÃ "GANA MILLONES EN 1 SEMANA", porque nadie te tomarÃ¡ en serio. RECUERDA, Cuantos mÃ¡s Newsgroups consigas, mÃ¡s repuestas y miles de dÃ³lares recibirÃ¡s!! Pero debes entrar por lo menos en 200. Y cuanto mÃ¡s se publique mÃ¡s DINERO vas a tener, ademÃ¡s les das la oportunidad a otras personas que estÃ©n interesadas de hacer DINERO. Esto es un sistema de cooperativa. EstarÃa haciendo otros US $ 125.00 adicionales. Ahora estas 125 personas ponen sus mÃnimos de 200 grupos con mi nombre en el #3 y sÃ³lo reciben 5 respuestas cada una, yo recibo un adicional de US $ 625.00 ! OK, aquÃ esta la parte mÃ¡s divertida, cada una de estas 625 personas ponen sus cartas en otros 200 grupos con mi nombre en el #2 y cada una recibe sÃ³lo 5 respuestas, esto hace que yo reciba US $ 3,125.00!!!. De una inversiÃ³n original de US $6.00!! mÃ¡s estampillas. FABULOSO! Y como dije antes, que solo 5 personas respondan, muy pocas, el promedio realmente serÃa 20 o 30 personas! AsÃ que pongamos un nÃºmero mÃ¡s grande para calcular. The failure results in a blue-screen-of-death, that locks the PC (WIN98) using Money2000 or returns to the desktop using Money2004. The failure occurs on Mutual Fund accounts with about 20 years of transaction history. E.g., a test investment with a buy on 1/1/80, and no other transactions, will fail on report date ranges later than 1/1/80-7/29/03 in MONEY2004. Another failure occurred with a real IRA purchased 12/31/84, with many subsequent transactions, using any report date range later than 12/31/84-4/29/03. When the problem occurs on a Portfolio view, recovery can be difficult, because there is no pre-configuration of views and no date range selection in any case. Once you configure and select a view that fails, the next time you run Money / Portfolio you will get the same problem view with the BSoD with no opportunity to change views or configure the failing view to exclude the problem investment. You can recover by restoring a working backup. Reports can be pre-configured to avoid getting stuck with a failing report. But in my Money '04 register each electronic payment is dated THREE days early and manual payments come out SIX days early (Money is adding one extra day to every e-payment. I bought quicken last year mainly because out bank supported transaction download only through quicken. A year after buying it the online service expired and I cannot even manually download and import transactions unless I renew the service. showed up. This happened to two banking accounts that had
been happily working for months. I tried upgrading to MSM
2004 so I could use the File Repair more easily, but that
didn't work either. Unviewable transactions continue to
add up with the exception of my Collateral Mortgage
account: when I do downloads to *it*, the system crashes
and sends an error report.

I've got tons of expense data in my bank account files
that I don't want to trash, and entering by hand isn't
very fulfilling. My investment accounts continue to work
fine, but they're all entered by hand. Any ideas??

In Internet Explorer delete your browser temporary files with
Tools->InternetOptions->DeleteFiles.

Then in Money do File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair again for
good measure.
