I have found that I have some remaining shares in my investment accounts.
The problem is they are all under 1 share so they are not showing up in my
account summary. Is there a way to show or report the actual remaining share
balance of my accounts to show these shares?

What cause you to think you have those remaining shares?

Anyway, from the account register, AccountSummary->AccountUpdate
should let you update positions. Perhaps you want try to update to
zero.

You could also try to enter a RemoveShares for 1 shares. Expect a
pop-up saying you only "have xxx shares available... would you like
to sell or remove xxx shares"?

If these don't work for you, what program version are you running?

In the portfolio view how many decimal places do you have set for the
shares. I would suggest that you want 2 or 3 decimal places and it should
show up. I have some items in my watch list that are significantly less
than 1 share and they show up fine

Your steps will be slightly different because I am using 2007.

the "quantity" > change the decimal places

Most cool!!! I never knew that was there... Since I have a 401k that insists
on 4 places, this will be very handy! Thanks. I owe you one.

Dick,

From what I have seen, you are quite knowledgeable so I expect to collect on
the debt sometime in the future. Glad I could show you something you did
not know.

An Update. Thank You for the direction on the Portfolio view on decimals,
but it did not change my transactions for each investment.
I had to go to each ex-401K MF investment transaction and manually change
(round off) to 2 decimals. Purpose of me wanting to change to 2 decimals is
so I can delete the investment from the list of investment in reports, home
page etc...
Also, Is there a way to go to "X" mutual fund "investment activities" and
make MS Money automatically round off to 2 decimals? I have alot of
transactions to manually change to 2 decimals, using MS Money 2004 Deluxe.
Thanks Again

An exact way to do that is to change your last disposal transaction
to 0 in an account in which you held it. That will reinstate the
quantity in the account.(Remember the details of the transaction
before you do. Consider a file backup.)

Go to the account summary page, click Account Update, and set the
quantity for the investment to 0. That creates a 'Remove Shares'
transaction for the exact number of remaining shares, to the nth
decimal. Copy that quantity, delete the Remove Shares transaction,
and paste the quantity in the disposal transaction you edited to 0.

Do that for each account in which you held the investment. You
should get to where the quantity held is exactly 0, allowing you to
delete the investment. This may require doing the same in closed
accounts.

I am also looking to change the decimals in exsiting, active accounts
instead of doing it maually. Specifically in the investment avtivity area.
I have already changed non-active inv accounts and deleted them from the
investment list per instrcutions.
