Fred,
Thereâ??s a good chance your problem is due to rounding errors on your
investment purchases and investment sales. I don't like to delete the
investment because you will lose all of the price history and you can always
hide it in "Portfolio View" by unchecking "show closed positions". I suggest
you try the following, it worked for me on Microsoft Money 2003:
a) Create a backup file in case your want to revert to your current file
b) Doublecheck all investment purchases/sales for rounding errors (share
volumes should match exactly and should zero out)
c) Verify on "Analysis View" that the share volume is zero
d) On "Details View", remove symbol if present
e) Also on "Details View", verify that â??delete this investmentâ?? is
available, but donâ??t delete
f) Record a special 1 for 100 reverse split for the investment, the
investment should now be gone from the investment summary on Page 1
g) Remove the newly created reverse split from "update prices"
Hope it works,
Lewis
