Thank you Cal! The people I owe money to, probably thank you too. It was
the Intranet settings in IE. It was preventing the logon screen from
appearing, which pretty much stopped everything. I would never have thought
of that because I don't have an intranet, but apparently to Vista 1 PC with
an Internet connection is also an intranet.
