 - Operation cannot be performed error in Money 2004 I am using Money 2004 Deluxe and when I start money at the passport screen after clicking next, I get a message that says that the operation cannot be performed.  - Money 99 on XP I recenlty purchased a new machine (with XP Home), and would like to install my Money 99 program. The program seems to install properly, but at startup, crashes out. The error log notes a faulting "jvm.dll" application. I have tried all the possible compatibility settings from the capatibility wizard, to no avail. Please help! Any suggestions?  - I can't view my downloaded transactions I've been using Money 2002 for a while now, and I have been able to sync my accounts directly with my Bank through the internet updates function. Typically if there is a new transaction it shows up, and I reconcile it. For the past few days, Money has been downloading transactions and telling me that I have new transactions to view/reconcile, but when I go into the specific accounts the transactions do not show up, although Money is telling me that I have items to review.  - best way to start over? I'm trying to help a friend who has Money Business & Personal. She installed it two years ago, but stopped entering data after a few months and never really got it going right. She'd like to start fresh for 2004. What's the best way to do this? Can you open a new file and start from scratch? If you just archive all the old records, then the balances will all be off. Is there a way to correct that? It could be useful to be able to keep all the customized lists as they are. It's just that all the balances will never be correct without some way to start fresh.  - Invoice designer doesn's save templates correctly? Open a Service Portrait template for example in the Invoice Designer in Money Small Business 2004 and Save As or make a change and then click Save, and then save the template using a new name. Then go to your invoices in Money, select Print Preview >> and select the original template. The invoice will preview and print nicely on a page. Now do the same again but select the duplicate template you saved. The page previews (and prints) using only a small width percentage of the page. Almost like a portrait page on a lanscape paper if that makes sense. I have tried everything to just save my own template to no avail. ANY help would be appreciated.  - Money 2004 Premium from Money 2003 Deluxe I have been running 2003 Deluxe on ME. Installed 2004 on new laptop running XP Home. I have successfully converted data. Problem is on XP when I click the "Go to list of accounts" link on Home Page I get an error. When I upgraded 2003 Deluxe on existing ME platform I have no problems.  - can't seem to share Money 2003 in XP???? We're currently running Money 2003 on a machine with XP and have everyone set up with their own ID. How do we "share" the same Money 2003 file between each other?? I've saved my backup file to the SHARED DOCUMENTS folder but this doesn't seem to work. Each time a new user ID is logged onto the system and they try to start MONEY they get a new file -- not the one I've been using.  - using 2 accounts I have my personal banking on money. I also keep the books for my condo association. Keeping the two separate when generating reports is fine but when I download to disc it downloads everything in boh accounts. There are occasions when I want to pass the disc to someone else but I on't want my personal info on it. Any idea how to copy just one account. Thanks for any help.  - Money 2004 dragging Could anyone suggest why 2004 on my XP Home (SP1) might be dragging so slowly even though I have archived the first 6 months of my money file?  - Woolwich - multiple downloads Anyone else constantly downloading the same transactions from the Woolwich? Even though I've previously dowloaded transactions, it seems that the next time I download, I get a few of the same transactions. However, they appear as new ones that then have to be matched manually to existing ones (wearing when around 30 transactions have to be linked to existing ones). Any help appreciated.....  - Money 2004 and Epay Hello, I am using the free MSN Billpay that came with my Money 2004 Deluxe. Today is Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003. I would like to pay my insurance bill which is due on Dec. 2nd. When I try to pay the bill today through Money, I get a message that says that the earliest it can be paid is 12/01/2003. Is that the date the payment should arrive or the date it will be processed?  - Mutiple Transactions, 2004 5 days ago when syncing with moneycentral the process hung and created 100's of duplicate records in all of my accounts. I can isolate the duplicated by looking at unreconciled records, the problem is how do I delete all the records at once. I can't seem to find a way to select all, then delete.  - Money 2004 is Awful! - What happened to auto fill in? I recently upgraded from Money 2000 to 2004 and unless I am missing something in the program setup, I think this new version is awful (to be polite). The older version when entering new bills would default all information to the previous (last-month's) information in terms of checking account info, memo field and bill amount. Typically all you had to change was teh transaction amount then hit ENTER. The new "feature" with Money 2004 is that for each and every transaction you have to manually enter every piece of information for each an every new transaction - there are NO defaults. You have to individually select: _Checking account _Pay once/monthly, etc, _Whether the transaction is to be printed or manually written. _The Category & subcategory _the memo field (which usually includes a long account number reference) All this cumbersome informationthat used to pop up automatically now needs to be entered over and over again. Even after you finally struggle to get bills entered it is still difficult. Before you could select multiple transactions for payment by using the Ctrl or Shift Key then process them all together as a group. You now have to one-by-one select and process each transaction. This is Nuts! I am hoping that I am missing some small setup detail with regards to this "improved" functionality that Money 2004 offers. From what I have experienced so far, it appears the Microsoft hired a bunch of nu-bee programmers that think it is 'neat' to play around with pull-down menus and to test your typing skills with the "Mavis Beacon" bill entry screen. Please - If someone knows how to activate the automation that caused all the bill entry fields to default back to the last known entry (previous month) I would really appreciate the tip.  - the windows installer service could not be accessed I'm exasperated. In the middle of the night, my computer (XP Home) rebooted. The event viewer tells me that there were corrupt registry keys and that they were fixed from an old back-up. Now when I start up, my week-old copy of MS Money 2004 does not work. I tried to reinstall or delete it and I get the "the windows installer service could not be accessed" message. The CD-based help file tells me to run INSTMIU or INSTMIA.  - All payees in checking account are the same when downloading I have a strange problem and haven't been able to fix it. I download my checking account, via MSMoney2004 automatically.
