    - Duplicate Downloaded Statement Good Afternoon, All... I have a very elementary question, but, one that has me stymied. I am running M98 and have just downloaded and imported a bank statement. The problem is that I downloaded over a month's worth of information that I already had done. I don't know what will happen to my register if I go through and clear these items as Money is trying to get me to do. Is there a way that I can get rid of the statement that Money is trying to get me to read? Or, will 'clearing' the items as usual have any effect on my register?     - Automatic addition to payee list I travel all the time in a motorhome, and use Visa for most expenses. I download my Visa transactions as QIF files and import them into Money 2003. My problem is that Money automatically adds each new payee to the list of payees. My list of payees just keeps growing and Growing and GROWING..... Does anyone know of a way to stop the automatic addition to the list? I know I can manually remove them, I would just rather they weren't added in the first palce.     - Fund Price Update My issue is different than the price update problems I have read here. MSN Money.ca's fund price is simply out-of-date. For example, the search for TML705 (a Templeton fund) shows the last nav price was Dec.3 Today is Dec.8 The last nav should really be Dec. 5 (Friday). They do *not* look like the kind of low-buck-but-still-professional invoices I wanted to send out. I'm using Money2004 Small Business (v12). Windows Me. Printing to an HP LaserJet 5p. Everyone has their favorite problem with Money, but for me it's always been the printing, going back to Money98.     - Possible to download from Quickbooks? Both of us are self employed and have been using Quickbooks to manage our business. We will likely continue to do this, as the business services in Money are more limited. However, downloading our sales or even our deposits recorded in Quickbooks would be so helpful, rather than entering in every transaction twice in these 2 separate programs. It seems that it should be possible; downloading from Quicken is an option. Any suggestions?     - accounts receivable problem in Money 2003 Deluxe & Business I converted my Quicken B & P to Money 2003 D & B about 5 months ago. Today, I tried running a Profit & Loss report and discovered the invoice payments from my consulting were not showing in the income column. The account I use to create invoices is not named "Accounts Recievable". 1. How to I check the account type is really A/R? Is that fact that it is an invoice account sufficient proof? 2. When I record payment of an invoice, a deposit is recorded in my Bank Account with the "Special Category" of "Payment for Invoice". Is there something I can/need to do to make this appear as income?     - Saving Budgeted Amount For yearly bills. Hi all, I have been using Money 2001 and could never figure this out properly and I have now upgraded to Money 2003. It has frustrated me a lot, and I am hoping that someone out there with better knowledge can help. I have a MAIN account and a SAVINGS account. I have yearly bills (Car Reg/Insurance etc) and I have entered them into my budget. Money says that I should spend $x.xx per week on these items but as I am only billed yearly I wish to transfer this money into my savings account so not to spend it. Then when the bill comes and 12 months have past I will have enough in there to pay the bill. The problem I am finding is that I don't SPEND the money each week and only TRANSFER it so much budget says I have lots of money left over to spend when really it is non-available funds. Is it possible to document how much money is transferred from the budgeted amount into a savings account and also keep the categories so I know there is $x.xx in the Car Reg category, and $x.xx in the Car maintenance category? Retail version of Money 2004 Premium wil not successfully convert 99 .mbf or .mny file after several attempts. Have tried upgrading over existing Money 99 and uninstalling Money 99 and installing Money 2004. Have also tried converting these 99 files through the free trial dl as well to no avail. After each uninstall attempt, all remaining registry entries are deleted, and remaining files and folders also. During each install, background programs are disabled. I designate revenue under 2 separate files (my wife & I both own businesses that we owned when we married; separate v community property). Example revenue-me & revenue-wife. Then I have sub-categories for types of revenue (sales, etc.) for each category. When setting up the txf file to export to TurboTax it sets up separate schedule c's. I need to separate sales that are taxable from the tax exempt ones. On the invoice it can be marked taxable or not but I need the sales completely separated. IOW the vast majority of my sales are tax exempt as they are out of state sales. I must be able to get totals of the taxable & non taxable sales for the sales tax report & payment. I tried to set up sub categories in sales but haven't found how to send the invoice to a subcategory instead of direct to sales. This is the only problem I haven't figured a work-around for; can it be done? If not in this version can it in a newer version?     - Duplicate Stock Dividends Hello all, I am a new user of Money 2004. I used Money 2002 but did not use the portfolio management part of the software before. I have been using Money 2004 for about a month now and have been setting up all the linking features (between Money, MoneyCentral and my brokerages accounts) offered for the Portfolio Management capabilities available in Money. I am using Money 2004, the Premium edition if that makes any difference and Windows XP Home on a Pentium 3 computer. I just noticed today that there are several duplicate transaction entries for many of my recent stock dividends. One of my brokers, Schwab, provides an automatic link between my accounts there and Money 2004 and I use that feature. If dividends are generated they automatically show up in Money. Another of my brokers, FOLIOfn, does not provide an automatic link capability so I have to import a QIF file to move dividend data from the accounts at FOLIOfn to Money. I perform this import once a week. I have Money synchronized with my MoneyCentral portfolio and I suspect the dividends are being imported from the MoneyCentral dividend database, but the direction I have synchronization set for is Money2004 ---> the MoneyCentral portfolio, so it is my understanding that my Money file could not be receiving any dividend data from the MoneyCentral portfolio, only vice versa. I know that MoneyCentral will automatically collect dividend data for the stocks I own and, yes, I do have it set that way (to collect the dividend data, that is) in my MoneyCentral portfolio. However, again, since the direction is from Money to MoneyCentral during synchronization, I do not see how the duplicate dividend data could get into my Money file. Now that I think about that, I probably need to turn off the dividend update in MoneyCentral anyway. I still have it set that way from before I recently started using Money to do all my dividend data updating. I have two questions: Question 1: Is there a place within the options I can set in Money2004, that I can designate that Money is to import dividend data to the Money file or not to import it? If there is, I have yet to find such an option. If I could find the option, I could turn it off and stop the duplicate dividends. Actually, I like that the dividends automatically appear even though I don't know how Money is getting them form the online database in MoneyCentral. Actually, I would prefer using the automatic dividend feature, as apparently such a feature does exist, but that causes a problem when I import my QIF file from FOLIOfn or from Schwab since there is no way at the Folio Web Site or the Schwab Web Site to tell the QIF download NOT to include the dividend data, but to include all other transactions. Question 2: How have any of you solved this problem, if, in fact, you have it? Is it as simple as turning off a feature in Money 2004 or am I missing something else? I will certainly acknowledge any answers I get with a big "thank you" and to let others know if the solution you provided works.
