I'm using Money 2004 Deluxe. I recently paid my Citi
credit card account from my checking account using epay.
The two payments were scheduled for 1/1/2004.
A few days after New Years, Money automatically
downloaded the transactions from Citi Cards. The
downloaded transactions indicated that the payments were
posted to my Citi Card account on 01/01/2003. The year
was wrong - the payments actually posted on 01/01/2004!
As such, Money would not automatically match these
transactions. I manually matched the transactions, but
unfortunately, Money kept Citi's date instead of mine.
Even worse, it changed the transactions on the checking
side as well.
To further compound the problem, subsequent downloads
from Citi include the transactions again, but with the
correct dates. These transactions remain un-matched.
How can I un-match these bad transactions from Citi Card,
correct the dates on both the payment and checking acount
transactions and match these to the new transactions
downloaded from Citi?
It is not feasible to revert to my backups, since the
backups would be out-of-sync with scheduled e-pays, etc.
