I have worked 18 days trying to get this to work. Every time I fix one
problem another occurs. I am still not able to use M07. I have searched all
of the support site and have done everything. I now give up. Microsoft want
to charge me more money for help. Forget this. They have put out a faulty
product. If you don't believe me, read all the posts here of others having
problems. I am going to delete this program and go back to Quicken.

Thanks but no thanks microsoft

It works fine for me. Did you buy it sight-unseen, or did you take
advantage of the 90 day trial version available for download?

Dear Lisa:

Go to the Quicken forum. I'm there EVERY day. I left Money 07 to go to
Quicken 07 and now I'm running BOTH until my Quicken refund time period gets
closer and my Money trial expires. Quicken has A LOT of problems with its
newest version also. If you don't use online banking, you'll probably be
fine. Otherwise, the grass just may SEEM greener..

That's not very specific. What kind of problems? Have you called technical
support? If Quicken works better for you, have at it.

Jeffrey Kaplan,

Some specifics here might help.

>> I have worked 18 days trying to get this to work.
Trying to get what to work?

>>Every time I fix one problem another occurs.
Name 3.

It sounds to me like you might have other computer problems.
In no particular order I would:
Clear out the temp folder.
Check for spyware/adware.
Check for viruses.
Clear IE's cache.
Re-install Money and work exclusively with the sample.mny file
until any or all updates are installed.

Without further specifics no-one can help you here.

Telling people "Don't Get Money 2007" doesn't help anyone.

I know you don't want to hear it but on MY end M 07 is working
flawlessly.

I cannot get SP2 to update. Tried everything Tech Support suggested.
Removed and reinstalled Money 2006. Don't have the time to troubleshoot MS
problems.

Everytime I open Money it automatically starts updating accounts. I don't
have any accounts set up yet for online banking. This occurs before I can
check any settings and locks up money. I have left the computer for 2 hours
and it still is locked up. (Hoping the update might take some time.) When I
first set it up it worked fine until I opened a Money 2003 file. When I go to
Help, I am told it will cost me money to get help. They want me to call Dell
instead. I am so frustrated. I even posted something earlier about this
problem in this forum and did not receive any responses. I hate to keep
putting money into this program if it does not work. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Money 07 app came pre-installed on a Dell machine?

If you have no accounts setup for online banking and it hangs trying to go
online at startup, this is not an "updating accounts" problem. Money does
try to reach out and touch the 'net at startup to get its own new ads and
updated stock quotes and to find any patches to Money itself. There are many
things that screw this up like firewall software and uncooperative settings
in IE security for internet zones and so forth. There have been lots of
threads on the subject and lots of solutions. Have you searched the MSKB
online?

I've turned off the firewall,, virus protection and privacy of Mcafee. My
windows firewall was off. I was able to download SP2. I've had my computer
for a year and Money did not come installed. I did go ahead and got Quicken
2007 and it is running like a pro, even when I converted my old file. I guess
there's really nothing else to do. I'm staying with Quicken.

I have a similar problem trying to get Money 2007 to install properly. I have
used 2005 for several years, no problem. Everything goes well except the
update that needs to be downloaded and installed will not install. I have
done everything Kevin has suggested, done a clean boot with all services off
except MS, still won't install. It downloads (takes about 5 min), then it
says it cannot install with zero diagnostics. Anyone else have this problem,
and if so, how was it solved?

It has deleted my 2005, so I am in limbo right now. 2007 runs OK, but the
message suggests that without the update it is a dangerous situation. Anyone
know what is in this update?

Have been on chat tech help and the phone, nothing works so far. any
suggestions out there?

BB, say more. I am between the rock and a very hard place. I dowloaded '07
and installed it, which removed my Money '05. Now it refuses to install the
update that is downloads at the end of installation. Won't go through that
here .. it's on other threads elsewhere.

It seems my only option now is to move to Quicken, which I left for Money
about 5 years back because of zero support and a very buggy internet update
protocol.

What's keeping you away from Quicken?
