Hi,

I found an odd problem today. It seems that the dividends
are not shown as an income in the income and expenses
report. Instead, they are shown up as "transfers."

I think I understand why they show up as transfers. It is
because of the way Money logs dividend transactions. When
a dividend is received, in the investment account, you
typically have a transfer transaction that transferrs the
dividend to the cash account. Something like this:

Investment Account:
Dividend from MSFT Transfer to:Cash account 16.0
Cash account:
Transfer From: Investment account: 16.00
Memo: Dividends on MSFTA

However, this makes it impossible to track dividend
income. If I change the transfer to a normal transaction,
the balance in the cash account is screwed up.

Does anyone know how to correctly track dividend income?

Thanks,
Geoffrey

Are you sure it isn't because the default income and expenses report doesn't
include the investment account so it's showing as a transfer from an asset
account not included in the report? Check customize.

You are absolutely right. I checked all the accounts and
now the dividends show up.
