Has anybody ever had this happen? I had to change discover card account
numbers due to fradulent use on my account. Ever since then, I can't
download the finance charges into Microsoft Money. The finance charges show
up when I go to the discovercard.com website. However, when I download my
transaction data into MS-Money it only shows the balance as being the sum
total of the balance transfer and recent transactions (purchases and
payments) attributed to my account's new card number. It does not show any
of the finance charges for the past 3 months. Thus, my balance is off by a
considerable amount.

How on earth does somebody fix this problem?!

You enter the finance charges MANUALLY!!! As for downloads, you will find
that many financial institutions do not list finance charges in the same
manner as purchases, payments, overlimit fees, CA fees, etc. In this event,
when you download your statement, your not going to get the finance charge
in your ledger (I don't have Discover but what I am discussing is common).

In this case, look at your statement online via your browser, enter the
finance charge MANUALLY, then download your statement. Whether you have
your program set to automatically accept transactions or not and also
whether it's set to automatically reconcile or not, if the above is the
case, you'll need to right-click on your finance charge entry and then point
to "Mark As" and then "Reconciled".

Well that is incredibly stupid! Why on earth would they not include the
finance charges on a downloaded statement? They are on my real statement,
and they are on the website statements!

DUH. If I could pay the entire balance at once, I wouldn't have even asked
this question!
