 - Microsoft Money encountered a problem and needs to close When sending epay I get to the screen that shows the pending items and click send. The payments are sent and then MS Money has an error "Microsoft Money encountered a problem and needs to close". I have been using without problems since Money Plus first came out.  - old trades shares & price quote off by one decimal position Due to Merill Lynch Settlement I must submit documentation from trades 7-8 yrs ago. When I look at my .mny for CMGI trades, the number of shares and price are off by one decimal place... instead of selling 242 shares at $1.20 it shows 24 shares at $12.00 This file was originally Money 1998 (95) and got upgraded to Money Money 2003(XP) then recently Money Plus Premium(Vista). At least the dates are correct so I can call my old broker for a signed report but I don't really want to correct all my old investment transactions. Why did this happen?  - Downloading transactions from a Chase Business Credit Card Hi, I setup online downloads of my transactions for a Chase Business Credit Card account. However, it downloads information into three separate accounts. There are two authorized users. So it's one account for the main account number and one account for each of the authorized users since each user has their own separate account number. I can't seem to merge any of the accounts as they are not listed in the merge list. If I try to delete one of the user accounts, then it only gives me an option to either close the account or delete all three accounts. I can't simply close it because then I still will have the duplicate entries. So each transaction has two entries, one in the main account and one in the user's account. So far I've been just manually deleting the entries from one account, but there's gotta be a long term solution to this? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!  - Combining Payees Am I missing something or is it not possible to combine payees without changing their names? For example, since I started using Money my Phone company has changed it's name from NYNEX to Bell Atlantic to Verizon and my gas company has similarly had two name changes. It like to have their payee history combined on the Main Payee page without changing to whom the check was written at the time. I far as I can tell that is not possible. Am I, unfortunately, correct about this?  - Sort order for investment xactions portfolio manager When I click on the expand symbol for an investment in Portfolio manager a list of transactions for the investment is displayed. you can also sort the transactions by different fields either in ascending or descending views. I sort by date Up until recently the most recent transactions were displayed when I expanded the list. Now every time I open the list the oldest transactions are shown on top and the newest ones often require me to scoll down.  - general money 2006 question I was wondering if you can go backwards, kind of like with windows. I vaguely remember restoring my computer to a particular date (this was also a different computer a few years ago). What if I uninstalled M06, would everything be gone? Say I installed it in May of 06 and was already using the 03 version. What would happen? I am still trying to fix my bills and deposits issue.  - can't login using windows live id (vista 64 was working fine befor I installed money on another machine (XP) using same file works fine.  - Yodlee link broken again Once again, access to my bank through MS Money ('07) via Yodlee is broken. This is getting tiresome. I haven't been able to update my account online in over a week. It claims that my "sign-in information" doesn't match the bank's records, when it does.  - Investment QIF Import in Vista So I've been trying endlessly to important Fidelity QIF files into Microsoft Money Plus Premium on my Vista computer. I get the error "An unaccepted QIF transaction header was encountered. Transactions under that header have been skipped. If you were trying to import an Investment QIF, click here for more information" I tried to follow the instructions to change the way QIFs are handled, but in Vista, there is no "File Types" tab or anything like it. Can anyone help translate the below rules into Vista-compatible steps? Thanks. _____________________ To change the way Windows downloads QIF files, follow these steps: 1.  - Money 99 - few questions Hi, I've got a task to migrate old MS Money data to a newer version (99 to 2005). Money is Microsoft Money 99 version 7.0 Standard Edition. I've tried to upgrade the files, but didn't have luck with it (used MS Money 2001 trial). I've read in the forums that I have to have the same market version in order the version upgrade will suceed. How can I determine weather it's International or US or Canadian or whichever edition? How can I find the trial in the same edition? (can I get those trials officialy somewhere) Is there easier way to solve this problem?  - How do I model personal loans to my business hi, I have a question about how to model a personal loan to my own business? The situation is this. I started my own business and I am basically lending my personal business a $20K loan @ 8% as start-up capital to purchase equipments and such out of my personal bank account. Currently my business does not have its own account, though it will later if the business succeeds. Now to model in this MS Money, would the best way be to: 1 - create a virtual bank account, transfer money into that account and enter the equipment purchase transactions in that virtual bank account 2 - create a separate loan account for the total dollar amount loaned to the business @ a specify interest rate? btw, can MS Money auto-calculate interest charge on the outstanding loan amount given the interest rate?  - New User: Scudder 401k not showing amounts Hi. I am trying to check out Money Plus demo, the version currently on MS's website. Trying to transition over from Quicken because of all the constant errors. Anyway... I have my company 401k account through scudder ( www.mykplan.com ) and it access the account and downloads the various investments and shares owned, but the dollars are at zero for everything. Unless I manually input the last price and market value, it does not update or change. Is this normal or am I missing a setting somewhere? QUicken was opposite. It would update the share prices, but not the shares owned, I had to do that manually after accunt rebalancing. Thanks for any help, this version seems a lot better except this scudder behavior.  - Missing duplicate transactions When two legitimate transactions with the same payee, amount, and date get downloaded from my credit card, only one shows up in Money. For example, each of my cellphones from Virgin Mobile is downloaded as a separate transaction on the same day with the same amount. Only one appears in Money. I've had the same thing occur with multiple airline tickets. The credit card is from Bank of America.  - Microsoft Money 2004 password problem Hi I am having a problem with Microsoft Money 2004 - sorry if this is doubled up as my first attempt atposting a question didn't work. I have never set a password on my money file and it has recently started asking me for a password. I downloaded a password recovery program (even though I know i never set one) and it says that there is no password on the file. However, Money keeps asking for a password. I have reinstalled Money and downloaded the update but it still keeps asking for it. I cannot do a repair on my money file because Money needs the password before it can repair. Can anyone help?  - restart trial? I had previously installed the trial version of Money Plus Deluxe, but never had time to actually try it out before it expired. Now I would like to try it and it keeps telling me that my trial has expired. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have also tried deleting the old .mny file. I even trie using a different Microsoft Live account. Nothing is working to reset the trial time. Is there anything I can do? I want to try it out and show it to my wife for a couple of months before we pay for the software. Is there anything I can do to reset the trial period and start over from the beginning?  - Money 2005 Upgrade Error R6025 I am desperate and at the point of chucking MS Money. I have been using Money 98 until 3 weeks ago. Money 98 crashed, lost some data and I decided to upgrade to the latest available version which for the international version (I live in South Africa) seems to be Money 2005. I installed Money 2005 succesfully and after it has upgraded the Money 98 file to 2005, the computer screen goes blank for about 8 minutes and then reports C++ library error R6025 - pure virtual function call. I have tried kb240437 and looked at kb125749 and just about everything else I could find on the web to no avail. If I now start money 2005 and open the converted file, I get the same result with error R6025. Any help will be highly appreciated.  - Cash Flow reset and undo Hello. Can be Cash Flow Forecast somehow "reseted" of removed lines restored in Money Plus Deluxe? I had problems with it. 1) If I hide/reset specific line in CF, I cannot get it back. I would appreciate undo or some list of transactions manually removed from CF. 2) I moved all transaction in one category to its newly created subcategory. For example from Food to newly created Food:Groceries. It totally confused CF, there was Trended Items Food:All and Food:(another subcategory I have), and didnt respond to any attempts to fix it, like move transactions to new category, delete old... There always was the same Food:All, grrr... It seems like CF doesnt take into account changes in transaction history. Maybe only one thing helps - to create new bucket. I realized it because I created new Advanced Bucket (not Save and Spending) by a trick (Yes, there is also Advanced Bucket in Money Plus) and voila! Cash Flow was "reseted", there was Food:Groceries... But it also restored all manualy hided/removed transactions... Maybe this works also with new Save and Spending Bucket.  - Any way to import data into Deluxe Portfolio Manager under a I have my investment portfolio on MSN Money's Deluxe Portfolio Manager, but I would like to play some "what if's" by creating a new user ID, importing a backup file of my original account, then "pretending" to sell and reinvest in other positions. I thought this would be pretty easy to do, but when I try to import the backup file into the new account, it says that the e-mail and password I'm using on MSN doesn't match the one in the backup file, so it doesn't let me do it. Is there any way around this, or do I actually have to spend days re- entering all of my information into the "what if" account if I want to do this? (My current portfolio has 100's of transactions.) It would seem to me that there should be some way to edit the .mbf file by entering the original e-mail address (user id) and password then specifying a *new* e-mail address and password.  - Deleted bill series still shows as "overdue" Money 2006 Deluxe I deleted a number of recurring bills that I'd set up as recurring. On my Money start page, in the "Bills and Deposits" portion, those bills still show up as Overdue, with dates going back almost a year. If I go to the Calendar, and locate the date the bill was supposedly due, and try to "edit"t that bill series, it tells me there's an even earlier occurrence, and that I must find that one.  - Failed conversion from MS Money 2002 to MS Money 2008 I was wondering if someone could help. I am trying to convert an msn money 2002 file to msn money 2008 for a client. I have gone through all the various posts and faq's on the internet and I have read various suggestions on the subject...so I have tried so far the following: installed trial edition of ms money 2004....2007, 2008...all of which come back with the dreaded...incompatible version error....i even tried installing ms money 2002 on a different laptop and thaqt came back with exactly the same error message. The problem from what I can gather is that the MS Money 2002 installation on the client's laptop (by the way, I am in Greece) might be some sort of localized version (how could I tell....hellp & about reads MS Money 2002) and the trials I am using are US version....and therefore the incompatibility. The thing is that the person that installed MS Money 2002 for the client has now passed away and I can't ask for a disk or any other info. Can anyone please help.  - Money Plus DeLuxe and sp1 problems I installed Money Plus DeLuxe software, and everything seemed to go o.k. When I opened the program I immediately got a message that indicated Money required an update. This is new software mind you, and it already needs an update??? Anyway, I clicked to go ahead and install the required sp1 update for Money Plus. Everything seemed to download o.k. Upon reaching 100% downloaded I got a message saying the software could not be installed, and to check my internet connection and make sure I had at least 100 mb of disk space available. The answer to both is yes. The internet is working, otherwise I wouldn't be able to write this question, and yes I have plenty of disk space available. Has anybody been having this same kind of problem? Additionally, I turned off all firewall, virus protection software before installing and it didn't make any difference. I have also updated XP with sp3. I wasn't having this kind of problem until I added sp3. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
