M 2004 Delx, Free bill pay of M 03 Delx users?

Can someone who actually owns Money 2004 Deluxe let me know if Money
2004 does indeed provided an additional 12 months of MSN bill pay for
free for those who own Money 2003 Deluxe and have used the 12 months
free provided with that version. In other words, is it free for new
*and* existing customers?

Yes it does, but if you've modified your MS Money home home page the link
doesn't appear. After your file is converted, display the 'standard' home page
and there's a link for 'upgrade current users'.

I think I read in the fine print that you cannot *extend* your free trial.
You have to sign up as a new user and start over.

In fact, here it is:
"Money 2004 Deluxe users, the MSN Bill Pay Premium Plan special 12-month
offer provides you with up to 12 months of free online bill pay service,
which may be combined with other MSN Bill Pay free offers for not more than
12 free months of consecutive MSN Bill Pay service during any 12 month
period."

Premium allows for 24 months and might be the better option if you have
already used close to 12 months. Saving $72+ for the service would more
than pay for Premium (plus the free year of Money Magazine).

If you already own 2004 Deluxe, try signing up under your wife's (assuming
you're married) SSN. It'll create a new account and you'll jus have to go
through the pain of transporting all your stuff from the other account...

What! This stinks that I can't stay with Deluxe and get the 12 months Free.
I don't care about the Premium version and changing all my info to my wife's
SS# is not going to happen.

I figured it was too good to be true.

This shouldn't be a surprise. All along it has been clear that their goal is
to figure out how to hook us all to services that they get a continuous
revenue stream from. They don't want to give this stuff away. They want to
hook us all and then get in our wallets every month once they've got us
thinking we can't live without it. It's like the proverbial complimentary
starter bag from the coke dealer on the corner.

I'm also interested in this information. I'm currently a paying customer of
Bill Pay, signed up for billpay and got 3 months free then like week later
did my taxes on H&R Block and was supposed to get 12 months but because I
was an existing customer it wouldn't do it.

I would believe that we also won't get Billpay for 12 months but can someone
please verify this question.

I sent a msg to the Billpay Customer Service and this is the response I
received.

Dear Jamie , Thank you for writing. The free 12 months free bill pay service
is for "new" users only. You can cancel your existing account and enroll for
a new bill pay account through your new Microsoft Money Software, however
all of your information from your cancelled bill pay service will be gone
and will need to be re-entered in the new service. Thank you for using MSN

You just have to cancel your existing service and sign back up.
