Error synch
I am having trouble finding a tread that covers synch
problems with Money 2003 Deluxe. Seen people with the
same problem here before, but I don't think the solution
was ever found. I'm running Windows XP. I don't have
any problem with turning on Passport. I click "Access my
money on the web", my accounts show up, when I click next
then Money freezes for a while and I get the error "An
unexpected error has occurred. Your data is not being
sychronized with MSN Money of the web." I updated from
Money 2002 deluxe about 5 months ago and I remember
having the exact problem then too. The fixes for 2002
deluxe never worked for me either. I've also tried
turning off ZoneAlarm and Norton Anti-Virus corporate
ver. Any other quesses. Thanks.

Sick&tired of forced nonsensical upgrades!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We as consumers need to speak up and let these companies
(microsoft/apple/etc) know that these forced OS upgrades
need to end. Why won't Money for Pocket PC 2003 run on my
$500(!) Casio Pocket PC running the Windows Mobile 2001
OS? Are these Windows versions really that different. I
think we are quickly reaching a point where consumers
like myself are getting fed up with this upgrade scheme.
The changes between different versions of Windows is
getting exponentially smaller. Without a compelling
reason to upgrade for features, they're engineering in
artificial obsolesence. I guess this is why Gates is
branching out into hardware now. These scoundrals (Thanks
Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf!) aren't the only ones doing
this. My $500(!) <1year old Ipod became obsolete in
Apple's eyes with the introduction of their latest Ipod,
they are intentionally limiting the software feature
upgrades to force me to by their latest Ipod. Perhaps to
Gates and Jobs, $500 is pocket change, but to the average
Joe like myself this is not the kind of money I tend to
throw away. Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141221
International Versions of Money
Does anybody know how to convert a UK version file (Money
2000) to a US (Money 2003) file? When I try to open the
old file in the new program I receive an error that it is
not a supported file. When I try to import using a
Strict QIF a lot of my information is lost, such as links
between accounts and currency differences. Are these 2
products just incompatible?
If anybody has any insight, I would sure appreciate some
input. Thanks. Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141211

Money 2002 no longer opens
I recently reinstalled Windows XP. Instead of installing
the entire Works Suite 2002, I only installed a few
individual components separately. Money 2002 worked fine

open. Instead I get a window with the following
message: "Cannot display the End User License Agreement

I have reinstalled the application several times and I've
now uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times as

works fine.) Any suggestions would be greatly

Using Microsoft Money 2003 for a small Church
I am the Rector of a very small (about 40 members)
Episcopal Church in a small town in PA. Does anyone "out
there" have any information how I can make Money 2003 work
for our very simple Church budget? An article I can read -
- some reference to making the categories work for a
church/business rather than home? We can certainly use
the online banking which Money provides -- but I don't
think we need the whole business version of Money 2003.
I'm thinking that, with a little tweaking, Money 2003 for
home will do the trick. Any suggestions? I'm grateful
for any helpful feedback. Many thanks. Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141171
Importing and Exporting accounts
Hello. One of my accounts got "corrupted" and would no longer
recognize new transactions when I downloaded them. Attempts to run
salvage and super salvage failed. I also tried to delete my internet
files and then delete the new transactions but it wouldn't let me.
Anyway, I exported the account to a QIF file and imported it into a
clean mny file and it seems to be okay now. One big problem though...
When I import the data, it does not include any of the "category"
fields!!
Help! What can I do? Go to Quicken?? :)

Transferring Investments between Accounts
Several years ago, in a previous version of Money, I
established all of my investments with my mutual fund
company in one account. For years, since 1996, I have
been manually entering transactions: buys, sells,
dividends, interest, etc. for each investment each month.
I now have several hundred transactions in this account.
Recently, my mutual fund company allows direct download of
transactions into money. However, the only option is a
separate account for each mutual fund. I would like to
retain the historical costs and history of buys, sells,
etc. and thus would like to transfer all of the
transactions for a particular fund to a new account.
Is there any way to export or transfer all transactions
for an investment from an account containing multiple
investments to an account holding just a single investment? Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141159
Turn $10 into $60,000
HOW TO TURN $10.00 INTO $60,000.00
I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A
little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups, just
like you are now, and came across an article similar to
this that said you could make thousands of dollars within
weeks with only an initial investment of $10.00. So I
thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam", but like most
of us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway, it said
that you send $1.00 to each of the 10 names stated in the
article. You then place your own name and address in the
bottom of the list at #10, and post the article in at
least 200 newsgroups (there are thousands). No catch, that
was it. So after thinking it over and talking to a few
people, I decided to try it. What have I got to lose
except 10 stamps and $10.00? Well GUESS WHAT!!!. Within 7
days, I started getting money in the mail! I was shocked!
I figured it would end soon, but the money just kept
coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00By the end
of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00!!
In the third week I had over 10,000.00 and it's still
growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a
total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in.
Let me tell you how this works and most importantly, why
it works. Also make sure that you print a copy of this
article NOW, so you can get the information, as you need
it. I promise you that if you follow the directions
exactly, that you will start making more money than you
thought possible. SUGGESTION: READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE
CAREFULLY!! Follow the simple directions and watch the
money come in. It's easy, it's legal. And, your investment
is only $10.00 (Plus postage) IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A RIP
OFF, IT IS NOT INDECENT, IT IS NOT ILLEGAL, AND IT IS
VIRTUALLY RISK FREE-IT REALLY WORKS!!!!!! If all of the
following instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends. REMEMBER, THIS PROGRAM IS
SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE OF THE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY OF THE
PARTICIPANTS.
By doing this you will become part of the mail order
business. In this business your product is not solid or
tangible, it's a service. You are in the business of
developing mailing lists. Many large corporations are
happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the
money made from the mailing lists is secondary to the
income, which is made from people like you and me asking
to be included in that list. Here are the 4 easy steps to
success. STEP 1-Get 10 separate pieces of paper and write
the following on each piece of paper (Or use your computer
to print 10). "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST." Be
sure to include your Name, Address, and E-mail. Now get 10
U.S. $1.00 bills and place one inside each of the 10
pieces of paper so that the bill cannot be seen through
the envelope. Make sure that there are enough stamps on
the envelope (Overseas mail may require an extra stamp or
two).
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate
service and you are paying for it! Like most, I was a
little skeptical and a little worried about the legal
aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S.
Postal Service 800-752-2161 and they confirmed that it is
indeed legal!!!
Mail the 10 Envelopes to the following address below.
1. Komaco Com P.O. 1066 Durham Ontario Canada N0G-1R0
2. James 3 Pine Court Kentfield, California 94904 U.S.A.
4. Con/nos Stefanou P.O. Box 40501 Larnaca Cyprus
5. D Hodgins RR5 Shawville Q.C JOX-2YO Canada
6. S Dupius P.O. Box 985 Shawville Quebec JOX-2Y0 Canada
7. M. Dunbar C28 12 Line Shawville Quebec JOX-2Y0 Canada
8. T. CANNON P.O. BOX 762 MEADVILLE, MS 39653-0762
9. C. CANNON RURAL ROUTE 1 BOX 69 MEADVILLE, MS 39653
10. M. Mintz, 227 Madrid St., Warner Robins, GA 31093 USA
STEP 2
Now take the #1 name off the list that you see above, move
the other names up (10 becomes 9, 9 becomes 8, etc.) and
add your name and address as number 10 on the list.
STEP 3
Make any necessary changes you need to but try to keep
this article as close the original as possible.
STEP 4
Post this article to at least 200 newsgroups.
EVERY BODY AROUND THE WORLD CAN DO THIS; JUST REMEMBER TO
PUT ENOUGH STAMPS ON YOUR ENVELOPES!!!!!
This is perfectly legal, if you have any doubts refer to
Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal lottery laws. Keep
a copy of these steps for yourself and whenever you need
money, you can use it again.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS PROGRAM STAYS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE
OF THE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY OF THE PARTICIPANTS AND BY
THEIR ADHERING TO THE DIRECTIONS.
You may want to retain every name and address sent to you.
This verifies that you are truly providing a service.
Remember Companies will pay for the mailing list too.
So as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully
followed 10 members will be reimbursed for their
participation as a list developer with one dollar each.
Your name will move up the list geometrically so that when
your name reaches the #1 position you will be receiving
thousands of dollars in cash!!
HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS
STEP 1
You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do you
own posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of
this letter and drag your cursor to the bottom of this
document, and select 'Copy' from the edit menu (this will
copy the entire document into the computer memory.) then
open a blank "word" or "notepad" file and place your
cursor at the top of the blank page. From the edit menu
select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the article so
that you can add your name.
STEP 2
Save your new document as a .text file (most programs do
this automatically) If you want to do your postings in
different settings you will always have this file to go
back to.
STEP 3
Using Netscape or Internet Explorer, search
for 'Newsgroups' (Using a quality search engine really
helps. I personally use Google.com)
STEP 4
Visit these message boards and post this article as a new
message by highlighting the text of this letter and
selecting copy and then paste from the edit menu. Fill in
the subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as
they scroll through the list of postings. Click the post
message button. That's it!!
All you have to do is jump to different newsgroups and
post away.
REMEMBER THE MOSE NEWGROUPS YOU POST IN THE MORE MONEY YOU
WILL MAKE!!!! BUT YOU HAVE TO DO A MINIMUM OF 200
You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the
large amount of mail that you will begin receiving
WHY SHOULD I DO THIS?
Here is an example (this by no means guarantees anything)
Out of 200 postings say I receive only 5 replies (a very
low number). So then I made $5.00 with my name at #10. Now
each of the 5 persons who just sent me 1.00 make the
MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #9, and only 5
persons respond to each of the original 5 that is another
$25.00 for me. Now those 25 persons make the 200 MINIMUM
POSTINGS with my name at #8 and only 5 replies each, I
will receive an additional $125.00. Now, those 125 persons
turn around and post the MINIMUM 200 with my name at #7
and only receive 5 replies form each, I will receive an
additional $626.00! Now, if the 626 persons post a MINIMUM
200 with my name at #6 and they receive 5 replies, they
just sent me $3,125.00!!! Those 3125 persons post the
MIMIMUM 200 with my name at #5 and only 5 respond I will
receive $15,625.00! And it goes on and on. All of this for
an investment of $10.00
Then when your name is off of the list just take the
latest posting, send your $10.00 and start the whole thing
over again.
CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO TAKE THIS CHANCE?
What do you have to lose? If you are like me you have
spent $10.00 in the first 20 minutes at the mall!!! Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141158

PARENTS OF 15-YEAR-OLD FIND $71,000 HIDDEN IN HIS CLOSET!
Does this headline look familiar? Of course it does. You
most likely have just seen this story recently featured
on a major nightly news program (USA) & on Oprah. His
mother was cleaning and putting laundry away when she came
across a large brown paper bag that was suspiciously buried
beneath some clothes and a skateboard in the back
of the 15-year-old son's closet. Nothing could have
prepared her for the shock she got when she opened the
bag and found it was full of cash. Five-dollar bills,
twenties, fifties and hundreds, all neatly rubber-banded
and labeled piles.
"My first thought was that he had robbed a bank," says
the 41-year-old woman. "There was over $71,000 in that
bag - that's more than my husband earns in a year."
The woman immediately called her husband at the car
dealership where he worked to tell him what she had
discovered. He came home right away and they drove
together to the boy's school and picked him up. Little
did they suspect that where the money came from was more
shocking than actually finding it in the closet.
As it turns out, the boy had been sending out, via e-mail,
a type of "report" to e-mail addresses that he obtained
off the Internet. Every day after school for the past 2
months, he had been doing this right on his computer in
his bedroom.
"I just got the e-mail one day and I figured what the
heck, I put my name on it like the instructions said and
I started sending it out," says the clever 15-year-old.
The e-mail letter listed 5 addresses and contained
instructions to send one $5 bill to each person on the
list, then delete the address at the top and move the
other addresses down, and finally to add your name to the
top of the list.
The letter goes on to state that you would receive several
thousand dollars in five-dollar bills within 2 weeks if
you sent out the letter with your name at the top of the
5-addressee list. "I get junk e-mail all the time- and
really did not think it was going to work." the boy
continues.
Within the first few days of sending out the e-mail- the
post office box that his parents had gotten him for his
video-game magazine subscriptions began to fill up with
not magazines, but envelopes containing $5 bills.
"About a week later I rode my bike down to the post office
and my box had one magazine and about 300 envelopes stuffed
in it. There was also a yellow slip that said I had to go up
to the post office counter. So thought I was in trouble or
something (laughs)." He goes on- "I went up to the counter
and they had a whole box of more mail for me. I had to ride
back home and empty out my backpack because I could not
carry it all.
" Over the next few weeks, the boy continued sending out
he e-mail. "The money just kept coming in and I just kept
sorting it and stashing it in the closet, I barely had
time for my homework." He had also been riding his bike
to several of the banks in his area and exchanging the $5
bills for twenties, fifties, and hundreds.
"I didn't want the banks to get suspicious, so I kept
riding to different banks with like five thousand at a
time in my backpack. I would usually tell the lady at the
bank counter that my dad had sent me in to exchange the
money and he was outside waiting for me. One time the lady
gave me a really strange look and told me that she would
not be able to do it for me and my dad would have to come
in and do it, but I just rode to the next bank down the
street (laughs)."
Surprisingly, the boy did not have any reason to be
afraid. The reporting news team examined and investigated
the so-called "chain letter" the boy was sending out and
found that it was not a chain letter at all. In fact, it
was completely legal according to US Postal and Lottery
Laws, Title 18, Sections 1302 and 1341, or Title 18,
Section 3005 in the US code, also in the code of federal
regulations. Volume 16, Sections 255 and 436, which state
a product or service must be exchanged for money received.
Now automated for a fee of only $30 you can get started

I just received this from Mark Joyner. Everyone on the Internet
I just received this from Mark Joyner. Everyone on the Internet
needs to read this, and you should forward this to your friends,
as well.
I tried this "Manuscript" he refers to myself and it was, without
a doubt, the most profound experience of my business life. I'm
still shaking from reading it. I feel like a fog has been lifted
from my eyes!
Anyway, here's the letter he sent me about it:
===============
Dear Subscriber,
If I could show you one simple technique that in 5 minutes would
increase your Internet sales by 32% would you do it?
What if I had a collection of these techniques that took me
years to test and perfect, would you want to use them?
Of course, and that's why people are going crazy about this.
No other marketer has ever revealed information this sensitive.
For years I've kept this information quiet.
You have probably heard the buzz that I finally released my
"Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript" to the public.
Jay Conrad Levinson said he'd easily pay $2,000 or more for
this document. He said "every page was a true revelation."
Joe Vitale said everyone selling *anything* on the Net should
keep a copy of this on their desk.
This simple document is probably the most powerful thing I've
ever written. I'm so certain of this that it comes with a
TRIPLE-your-money-back guarantee if it doesn't increase your
sales by at least 35%.
Read that again. These simple techniques will increase your
sales by 35% (at least) or I'll give you triple your money
back.
How can I do this?
Well, it's quite easy to use, and purely scientific.
These aren't just theories and guesses - these are *specific*
things you can do right now that will increase your sales.
And each of these techniques have been *scientifically* proven.
It reveals the results of years of research conducted here
at Aesop showing *exactly* the simple techniques I use that
dramatically increase Internet sales. One of these techniques
increased our sales by a clearly measurable 412%.
If I could reach out and grab you through this monitor I'd
shake you to make you realize how important what I'm about to
show you is.
Get the "Confidential Internet Intelligence Manuscript" with
the triple your money-back guarantee for:
Only $197
Just think about it, you could order the Manuscript, ask for
a refund, and you'd have this tool for free. There's nothing
I could do to stop you.
What if this document is exactly what you need to turn your
sales around? Just try it out risk free:
http://www.roibot.com/r_ciim.cgi?R33288_ciimarttext1
Remember, I'm giving you *two* guarantees:
1. Show me you've faithfully applied these techniques and if
it doesn't increase your sales by a measurable 35%, I'll give
you triple your money back.
2. Or, if you're not happy for any reason, just ask for a
refund and we'll issue you one - no questions asked.

Return of Capital for Stock Investments
I'm not sure if Microsoft looks at this bulletin board or
not, but I think they should. They seem to have a few
flaws in their software.
I have a stock (BCE) that I bought and because of the
Nortel split off, received a return of capital. Thus, to
date, BCE is down about $400, but Money indicates $6000
down. I had this fixed in Money 2001 by re-entering all

Loan
Hi,
I would like to enter a loan into money, but I do am not
scheduled to pay the principal until Nov. of 2005.
However, the interest will accrue on the loan as of today
and I plan on starting to make unscheduled monthly
payments to avoid debt in the future. I am trying to enter
the loan as a new account but it is saying the loan
account values don't work together. Can someone help me
out here? Thanks! Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141105
How to show customer payment?
Hi everybody.
I just started using Money 2003 Deluxe for my business (services-based).
I'm trying to figure out if I can somehow print a statement or receipt that
would show
Customer address info, when they paid, for what project, remaining balance,
etc.
I tried the statements but it doesn't provide all the info I need. I also
tried the invoice designer with no luck.
Does anyone here have any ideas or methods for getting around this?
Would certainly appreciate any help with this.

bond transactions
I purchased a commercial bond at a premium because the
coupon rate is higher than current interest rates. As
interest is received, I need to amortize the bond premium
against the interest received and reduce the cost of the
bond for the amount of the premium amortized. Can this
be done in Money 2003? Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141091

Free Money for Entrepreneurs on the Internet
"Nothing is Secret Anymore!" -- The Confessions of a Millionaire
Information Broker
By Matthew Lesko
Information is the currency of today's world. Those who
control information are the most powerful people on the planet --
and the ones with the most bulging bank accounts.
The timely delivery of vital information is one of the most
lucrative businesses you can have in this new millennium. I
should know. I started one of the most successful information
brokerage businesses in the country. I'm also perhaps the
world's most well known information broker, and I've made
millions of dollars from doing it, and I'm going to show you how
to easily do the same.
Let me backtrack a little bit.
All my life I wanted to start my own business. I didn't care
what it was -- I just wanted to learn how to feed myself and not
work for someone else. I even considered selling hot dogs on
the mall near the Washington Monument. I just wanted to be my
own boss. Sound familiar?
I had a string of failed businesses before I hit the big time.
It was while working as a computer administrator of a travel
company that I learned something that changed my whole life.
The hot shots that ran the company fascinated me. They were
powerful individuals who discussed, negotiated and executed big
deals all the time. In order to get in on some of that wheeling
and dealing, I'd hang around late at night when they had their
meetings, and volunteer to get coffee and doughnuts, do the
Xeroxing -- do anything to try to learn how to be like them.
One day, they came into my office and asked me -- not to get
coffee -- but to get information on how good or bad the rental
car business was. It seems they were considering making a bid
to acquire Avis Rent-A-Car, and needed some good market
information to go along with the financial statements they were
poring over. I, of course, said "Yes, yes, yes!" I was their
"yes man," even though I knew nothing about the rental car
business and had no idea where I was going to get this
information.
Well, I wanted to do this so badly I could almost taste it.
This was one giant step up from coffee and Xeroxing that lucky
people are offered once in a lifetime, and I didn't want to blow
it. I saw myself as a young turk on the way up the ladder of
success. But I didn't have a clue where to go for the
information.
I sat in my little office wondering if I could make the grade.
I sat there staring at my desk hoping something would pop into
my head and give me the magic answer. I stared at the telephone
and then picked it up thinking:
"Here I am in Washington D.C. needing to know about the rental
car business. Who can I call? Why not the government? I pass
all those big buildings everyday on the way to work. Maybe
someone there can help me."
Well, it worked! By starting with the government information
operator, I was able to work my way through a dozen more calls
and referrals until I finally found an expert in the rental car
business. It turned out to be a man who used to be the
president of Hertz and was now in Washington -- and bored out of
his mind with his government job. He actually invited me to
lunch so he could tell me everything he knew.
I was shocked!
I couldn't believe that in 45 minutes on the telephone, I could
locate a real expert who was willing to tell me everything I
needed to know about the rental car business. And, he even
wanted to take me to lunch!
Afterwards, I was so excited about the information I had just
received that I burst into a meeting my boss was having with his
hotshot merger and acquisition buddies. He was eager to hear
everything I learned from my lunch right then and there.
They were blown away. They couldn't believe that a young turk
like me, who didn't know anyone, could get such information that
we had all assumed was privileged and confidential.
I got more excited about the information I dug up on the rental
car business than with any program I ever wrote for the company.
I knew then that information was power. I also knew then that
there was immense value in delivering timely information on
demand.
I was hooked. I started a new business obtaining information
for people on anything they needed. I became a consultant to
people in the merger and acquisition business, and I got all the
information they needed to make their business a success --
information they were unable to find themselves.
This time, success finally happened. The business grew from
just me, a telephone, and a desk in my one-bedroom apartment to
over 30 employees and a million and a half dollars in sales in a
little more than 3 years. Even after a string of failing
businesses, I finally realized my first success, and I'll show
how you can do it, too.
How to Create Money Out of Thin Air
What I learned early on is that you can literally take
information that is free to obtain, but oftentimes hard for the
average person to find -- turn around and sell it for big bucks.
All it requires is a little resourcefulness, and the knowledge
of where to find the information that is sellable.
There's nothing to it. These are the only things you need:
1) Believe the notion that we live in an information society,
and if you're willing to make a few necessary calls (or
e-mails), you can gather information on almost anything -- and
make that information sellable.
2) You need to know where to look for the information.
Although there are countless sources of information, if you do
nothing else but tap into the world's largest source of free
information, you can find virtually everything that you need.
That source is the U.S. Government. [I've spent 25 years of my
life as an information broker, and I have yet to find a source
of information more comprehensive than the U.S. Government.]
Do you want to get an idea of just how vast the government's
information reserve is?
If you took all the major commercial publishers in the United
States, they collectively produce 50,000 new titles in all the
libraries and bookstores around the country in a single year.
In contrast, one single publisher in the government (the
National Technical Information Service) publishes over 100,000
titles a year. Multiply that by the number of government
agencies that produce information, and the amount of information
becomes absolutely staggering!
The range of subjects on which you can find information is also
mind-boggling: The government not only counts people, the
number of jelly beans manufactured in the country, toilets
installed, and how many potatoes grown; but also gives
investment trends and opportunities likely to show up in the
Wall Street Journal in weeks; it also answers any legal question
better than the highest paid lawyer. There are 700,000
government experts in any field you can imagine, who will give
you free information simply because you asked.
How to Use the Information You Gather:
1) Find customers who need, and are willing to pay for,
specialized information. Position yourself as someone who knows
how to find information on practically everything, but do narrow
down the types of information you can get for your customers'
specific needs. That way, you zero in with the precision of a
sharpshooter, instead of just firing a shotgun that goes in all
directions.
As an information broker, always remember what Willy Sutton said
when asked why he robbed banks. He said, "Because that's where
the money is." You need to live by the same slogan if you want
to stay in business. Choose the path of least resistance.
Choose a customer base that consists of rich people or big
companies that have money to spend on finding out how they can
get richer -- and are willing and able to spend it.
2) Gather specialized information that would be of great
interest to a specific business sector (example: Internet
marketers). Position yourself as an expert on a particular
subject, then write in-depth special reports that feature the
specialized information you found, package them in an e-book,
and make them available to Internet marketers for a fee. As an
alternative, you may also create a newsletter that regularly
updates the specialized information -- and make money on the paid
subscriptions.
More and more businesses are realizing the value of having good
information for good decision-making. Whether big or small, a
business can't succeed today unless it keeps up on the latest
information.
What kind of information do businesses need? They need
information on their markets, their competition, technology,
money sources and regulations, for starters. Develop a
sensitivity to the needs of your prospects by asking them
directly what they need. From that, you can determine the kind
of information that would best satisfy their needs.
Here's a useful tip: You'd do well to develop a "hook." A
"hook" is a marketing term that makes it easier for people to
purchase your services. It's taking the situation I mentioned
earlier about "knowing how to find information about practically
anything" and refining it down to a specialty. If you
specialize is some interesting aspect of the information
brokerage industry, it's easier to attract your prospects'
attention.
Define your niche by identifying the customer group that you
specialize in helping: small businesses, or non-profit
organizations. Or, you can define it by the area of information
you want to deal with, such as health information, company
information, or international information. Another way you can
describe your business is by the medium of the information you
want to provide, such as: only database searches, only document
retrieval, or only interviewing industry experts.
I was fortunate enough to have started in Washington D.C., where
I developed the hook of government information. It gave me an
instant edge over my competitors, even though I had no more
experience gathering information then they did. To make a long
story short, the government information I've amassed over the
years have earned me a coveted position of being a New York
Times syndicated columnist, and I've even authored two New York
Times best-sellers featuring information that I've obtained for
free. I have also been privileged to be regularly featured as
the nation's top expert on government information on TV programs
such as Larry King, Oprah, David Letterman, Jay Leno, the Today
Show and Good Morning America.
The key to becoming a successful information broker is be the
first to find the information, and deliver it on a timely basis
to those who want it. Then sit back and watch the money appear
out of thin air!

quite frustrated money rebate
All I want to do is send back a rebate----either I am

to". It does say send to microsoft. I do not think this
works like the santa at the north pole does. Then I log
on to microsoft and have to go through twenty screens to
find out I have to register to just ask a question, my
time is up. Can someone help, I have no time to register,
at this point, the rebate will expire. I just want to
return a rebate. Thanks. Doreen Tag: M2004 Deluxe or Premier Tag: 141056
Budgeting in extra income (moonlighting)
This thing is driving me to drink. I've spent the week
entering data. Created my accounts, balanced them,
created my bills and deposits (don't know what to do with
that), made a budget that seems straightforward but
yields very interesting numbers (and keeps adding on
income from I don't know where)...
I'd like to make a reasonable budget, track my spending,
and have a way to distribute my moonlighting excess
income each month (very variable amounts) between savings
and extra credit card payments...
Is there a genius out there who can help me???? I'm going
crazy with this program and my question seems too complex
for the online help.

Loan Split
I am using MS Money 2003 Deluxe. I entered a new loan and set up Apay for
the payments. When timely it enters the payment and schedules the check to
be sent. When I look at the payment, the entire amount is allocated to
principal and none to interest even though the detail split shows both as
"calculated". My only recourse is to delete that entry, cancel the payment
and enter the payment manually. Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks,
Robert
