    - Using money on another computer I am using Microsoft Money 2003 D&B. I have my computer networked with my secretaries computer. I want her to pay my bills on her computer. I tried installing money 2003 on her computer (after uninstalling on mine) and it appeared to install properly but when I try and start it using the desktop icon that was installed it pops on and then off with no error message. I use Windows 98 on her computer as there are some old programs I use that only work on that operating system. Any solutions or suggestions. Also is there anyway to use this program over the network so that it can be installed on 1 machine and used on either one. For instance I would like her to pay the biills bu tI would like to generate and review reports on mine. Would I have to buy 2 programs to mak ethis work.     - currency conversion of investment In Money 2004 Canadian addition I tried to enter a purchase of US stocks. After much trial and error I discovered I had to enter the price in Canadian dollars and let Money convert it automatically back to US dollars. But now the transaction is recorded as being far less than the actual purchase amount which gives me an immediate large gain showing which is incorrect. All other aspects of the transaction and its display seem to be working. I can find no instructions on how to work with investements demoninated in foriegn currencies.     - Tax Estimator and Schedule E As I can setup tax lines and groups for my categories: e.g., Create Property XXXX with sub-line: Rental Income and then make the "Rental Income" hit tax line Schedule E, line: Rents Received, Form Copy 1 and put the Group as "Rental Income". On Tax Software Report, it shows up correctly. On Tax Estimator, it does not show up at all. One Note: If I try to add to the "Other Income" it can find (becuase I can search by category) Rental Income and if I try to add it it will switch it's tax line on me. What kind of Tax Estimator can't factor in Schedule E's main line? And why can't I set up a new category to tie to Depreciation on Schedule E?     - Money 2004 Trial Import issue Microsoft Money is not recognizing data imports from the month of sept, 2003. The application is inverting the date and any date with a DAY less than 12 is brought into the system with day = month. Any transaction with a date greater than 12th day of month is not recognized and errors are provided. Changed regional settings on computer to US-MM/DD/YYYY format to see if this would resolve, but same error occurs. It is important to note that all other transactions from August 2003-January 2004 have been imported successfully with correct date. The other important point to note is that I have downloaded the "Trial" version, so I cannot log a bug or get Microsoft to identify or validate this as a bug.     - Money 2004 Setup I am trying to setup Money 2004, during the install process it asks me what languange, and gives me about a half dozen choices, including Singapore, Ireland, Hong Kong, and other odd choices, but no USA English. I have to choose one of them. I select 'Other'. Then on account setup, I only given about 8 financial institutions, all either Spanish or South Americans.     - "Date" column right-justified? WinXP-Money2002 Standard OEM-minimalist user Hi: Often using Reports my "Date" column becomes justified to the right (including the word Date) and mashes up against the Payee column where it stays locked. Tried adjusting column widths etc., doesn't help--in fact, using this feature is one of the causes of the problem. Also, Income categories and Expense categories invert, so that all of my income appears at the bottom of the report. Tried clicking arrows in headings but that only affects the individual transactions. These things seem to happen randomly and I've yet to discover what I am doing to cause it.     - Odd problem The balance in the Account list for my Pending Account does not agree with the balance that is displayed when the account is selected.     - Microsoft Money 2004 Balance Error When I change a CREDIT CARD account from "sorted by date (Increasing)" to "sorted by date (Decreasing)" the balance display messes up (try it, the math doesn't make any sense, create a credit card with 0 opening balance, and creater 3 transacations of $50, the math just doesn't make sense).     - Problems sync to MSN I have my MSMoney 2004 Deluxe set up properly to sync to MSN. After sync with MSN, I continually have two accounts that show up with entries to be acknowledged. The same few transactions show up every time as new, regardless of how many times I 'Accept' them in MSMoney and resync to MSN. Additionally, one of these is a duplicate - shows up twice when reviewing the account details in MSN, shows up once on the provider's site. I've updated the account in MSN, same results. Not a real problem, but annoying enough that I might turn off MSN Sync...I get all the MSN-based portfolio updates and tools even if I don't sync with MSN, right? Any thoughts?     - Applying Payments To Invoices In 2004 I currently have Deluxe & Business 2003. One of the main things that annoys me in this versio is that when I am in the receive payment window when entering the payment in, I cannot just double click the invoice in the list and have that amount apply. I have to click the checkmark and then manually enter the amount to apply. Does 2004 have the ability to just double click and stop the double entry? Thanks Much!     - Spending by category I'm using Money 2004 Premium. I'm trying to accurately capture how much I'm spending in each category, but am running into problems in a few areas: Scenario 1: Say I borrow 100 dollars from my savings account, and put it in my checking. The following month, I repay the money back into my savings account. This will make it look like I'm contributing more money to my savings account than I really am. It will appear that I contributed an extra 100 dollars to savings that month, when in fact, I borrowed the money from savings and am mearly paying the money back. Any ideas on how to get around this problem? Scenario 2: Every month I transfer a fixed amount of money from my credit union, into a joint account with my wife (at a different credit union). We use the transferred funds to pay our monthly bills, mortgage, etc. When I go to analyze spending by category, won't it look like I'm paying twice as much per month for bills as I'm actually paying? i.e. My first account will show a debit to another account for bills, and then the account that I actually pay the bills out of will show the same.     - Print Memo instead of Category? I'm trying out Money2004, and don't need to use the pre-programmed categories. I just want to add a specific memo note to each credit card or check entry.     - money 2000 restore I have back up floopys with 2 differant money accounts. After a system crash and completely restoring my hard drive, one Money account restored just fine, the other says I can not restore without a password.     - Msft. Money 2000 checkwriting question I am using Microsoft Money 2000, vsn. 8. Whenever I write a new check in the checkwriting feature, the PAYEE is automatically entered into a PAY TO list that enables me to write future checks to the same payee by scrolling to the name & highlighting it. This is a useful feature, but there is a drawback in that some checks are never written a second time to the same payee and the number of payees listed in the PAY TO list is getting longer & longer. When selecting 'January 2004' the system calculates,
displays a message that Micosoft Money has encountered an
error, then completely exits from Money.

I am using Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe from Windows XP
Professional operating system.

Previous month reports are fine --- I have no problem
generating reports from previous month
