Money 2007 ... in the Account list, is there a way to clear (eliminate) the
values shown under the "Bank Balance" and "Last Updated" columns for an
account? These two numbers never change because I'm no longer using online
updates on one of my credit card accounts.

Thanks,
Rick

Anyone? I've seen this asked before with no replies. Does this mean that
there's no way to clear these values? Hard to believe, if true. If an
account isn't setup for online updates, there should be no entry under "Bank
Balance" or "Last Updated", or at least be a way to clear them. Any
additional information would be appreciated.

Microsoft's view, apparently, is that only a rube or a fool would use Money
this way.

Maybe so, or perhaps they couldn't get it to work consistently, like me. 2
of my accounts, Wells Fargo and Discover, work just fine with online
updates. These 2 accounts have never required that I use a Live ID. The
problem account, my U.S. Bank VISA card, I've always downloaded/imported
statements manually, until about a month ago, that is, when I set it up for
online updates. The only way to get them was to signon with a Live ID and
create an MSN Money account, which I did. It worked ONCE, then stopped
working - I've spent countless hours troubleshooting, reading FAQs,
(unhelpful) calls to U.S. Bank, deleting/recreating the account, etc., all
to no avail. So, I changed the account back to manual updates, which is why
I'm stuck with frozen entries under the "Bank Balance" and "Last Updated"
columns. A little context here, in case anyone is wondering. If I could
get the blasted thing working, I'd gladly use online updates for this
account.

If it were me, I'd revert to a backup from before the attempt to set the
account up for online updates, put the other account transactions in there
and move on. I can understand why this might not be a good choice.

I don't do online update for any account. From my perspective, it's too much
trouble for too little gain for a whole lot of reasons, many of which are
highlighted here daily. I find the columns just waste real estate
needlessly. I've reduced their width to near zero. I tries zero once and it
made the rest of the columns really confused.
