Hello. When I try to download Citibank OFX transactions, it shows how
many transactions will be downloaded and asks you to click next to
download the transactions. Then it appears to be doing something, it
looks like the window that I usually click OK on after the transactions
have been downloaded is being suppressed. No transactions show up in
the register. I've tried clearing the temperorary internet files and
cookies, but it isn't helping. I tried reparing the Money file too,
but direct ofx works fine and so does ofx download from other websites
such as the GM Card website. Any suggestions to fix this would be
welcom. I also tried downloading QIF, but that doesn't work either.

I am assuming that "it" is Microsoft Money rather than a Citibank
web site.

And does the Account List show there are "Transactions to Read"?

If those are the case, then in Money do
File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair.

Still not fixed? Go to Tools->Settings->OnlineServiceSetting and
select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This
appears to be a global (inter-file) setting.

Download again. Let us know if this process works.

If it works, and you know how to put the "multi.ofx" file on your
hard drive, try this command in a command window WITH the quotes:

find "NAME" Multi.OFX

Look at the payee names. Does one show a special character after
<NAME> ?

Thanks. Sorry for the ambiguity about 'it'. I was downloading OFX
from the Citibank website using the browser in Money. I had installed
IE7 Beta 2 and then I uninstalled it. I realized that these problems
only started happening after the uninstall, so I reinstalled IE7 and
everything seems to work fine now. So I suspect that the IE7 install
must have changed some settings in IE6 even if IE6 was supposed to be
restored to its original settings.

I hope what I'm saying isn't too confusing. Perhaps staying away from
IE7 beta 2 is good advice. Things work fine with IE7, however, if you
try to restore IE6, some things don't work as they did before (like
Citibank OFX downloads).

And thank you for the info. I am glad to hear that Money appears to
work fine with the current IE7 beta.
