    - M2004 - cashflow / budget issue - can't pick account for budget expenses Hi There I've recently upgraded to Money 2004. Apart from the fact it has been a torturous 3 day process I think I've now got things working but I do have a question: In the cashflow section I can watch the money going into and out of my accounts based on what I've budgeted. Problem is M2004 seems to think that *all* the Money comes and goes out of one account (my checking account) when the reality is that some expenses I've budgeted come out of other accounts. The only time this doesn't happen is when I make something a Bill - then I can pick the account it comes out of, but a lot of my expenses aren't *Bills* per se e.g. I go to rock climbing at a local rocknasieum some weeks which I want to account for but is not a regular "bill".     - Mystery Account Merge Result Hello, I;ve setup an account with the bank for online updates and billpaying, after I connect I seem to have two of the same accounts Checking and Checking #2. They are the same and seem to be updating. some of the catagories for the Checking 2 are different the Checking one for the same transactions. I tried to delete it but it will take my Credit card account that I hold at the same bank with it. So I tried to close it. But I see that in the budget area the Checking 2 transaction that have different catagories screw up the budget, for example Checking 2 has my deposits as Bank Charges so now on my budget graphs I have no income but lot's of Bank Charges.     - Constant connections with M05 Money 2005 (in XP) is connecting at startup and when I disconnect it, it reconnects. The only way I've found to stop it is change my dialing prefs to 'Never dial a connection' in Internet Options. Is this normal for '05? Is there a way to stop it from dialing all the time? Thanks!     - budget/bills issues in 2005 Has anyone experienced the following problem? I recently upgraded from 2003 to 2005 and the recurring bills in the budget summary appear to be doubled, sometimes tripled in amounts for the current month and the next month. I have tried recreating a new budget and recreating every recurring bill ... with the same result. The only thing that works is assigning old transactions to a bogus category, deleting the category from the budget, then recreating a new recurring bill with the flushed out "new" catagory ... I got this from the Microsoft Knowledge Base. If this is this the only feasible work around I might as well create an entirely new file. I hate to archive the last 10 months of data for the sake of being able to have a working budget. Maybe I'm overlooking a simple solution.     - Return Money 2005 -> Per Microsoft Support 'It's Yodlee's Fault' I have been fighting with Money 2005 for over 2 weeks now. Since all the new online services in it come from a company called Yodlee, Microsoft is pawning off all online issues on them saying that they do not know when they will be resolved since it involves a third-party. I contacted Yodlee, was able to get in contact with the Vice President of Marketing and was told that they cannot comment on "co-branded" software and that "all support would have to come through [Microsoft]." That took me back to MS and then the guy I was working with told me that I should just get my money back. I will say that after being a money user for 4 years now I will be switching to something else.     - Money 2003 D&B - Invoice Designer Problem Whenever I try to start the Money 2003 d&B Invoice Designer, either from within Money or from the Start/Programs/ Menus, I get a series of Window Installer error boxes that say it "Can't load file" and refers to a SerialNumber.DLL file in a temp directory. After clicking on OK 9 times, the Invoice Designer starts. This is getting a little aggrevating having to clck OK 9 times just to start the program.     - Has M2005 messed up for users not using MSN-anything? I use M2004 with on-line access to Fidelity Investments, Bank One (Ohio), CitiCards, ATT Universal Card. It doesn't do a few institutions like ING Direct, Thrift Savings Plan (Federal Govt), Ohio Deferred Comp, but I'm used to it and update the info when I get the quarterly statements. I don't use Passport for background updates. Question: Has M2005 messed up (duplicate entries, duplicate accounts, wrong balances etc) the Money file for someone like me, who does not use MSN Money sync, Passport, or MSN BillPay? I am torn between upgrading (just to get the latest version .. I have to have the latest of everything :-) and all the horror stories here. I don't mind upgrading even if I get no added benefit.     - Loan Account does not show up I've created a Loan Account. But when I try to show a payment as a transfer to that loan account (from my checking account), it does not show up on the drop-down box as an account I can pick.     - Can download web statements from one user login but not another in XP When I login into money as user1 I can download my credit card statement into my without a problem. But when I am logged in as user2 the downloads will not work. The computer quickly does something when I initiate the download but I don't get and error message and nothing happen.     - 2004 to 2005 2005 created alot of bogus duplicate accounts with negative balances and e-pay and a-pay are not an option any longer in pay bills even though billpay is active. Been on the phone with tech support 4 times in the last week last time they said they'd call back with an answer--it's been 3 days. Anyone have any ideas? I'm a longtime user of money and like it but 2005 has really messed things up. Tech support has created alot of backups on my comp. hard to tell if I have any good ones anymore.     - 2004->2005 upgrade 2005 messed everything up. Now have duplicate accounts,duplicate expense catagories, E-pay and A-pay are no longer a payment option in bill payment, MS billpay has duplicate checking acount called xxxxxx checking#2, been on phone tech support 4 times in the last week last time being 3 days ago and said they had to research the problem and would call me back -not yet called.     - Can't cancel Billpay-> can't remove MSNMoney data I'm trying to 'start from zero' on the whole money2005/MSNMoney/Billpay sync thing. I disabled msn sync in money2005, removed money2005 data from msn, and cancelled my billpay account 4 days ago. But still, when I try to use the 'Remove my MSN Money data' settings tool, it says i need to cancel billpay first. Also, I still see old billpay details and account in msn money home page. Support (email, online, phone, msn, checkfree) is entirely useless. Maybe i should start over with a new passport.     - Money Sales Tax / VAT In Money, it is possible to keep track of the VAT in both expenses and income. Although, on the invoices/accounts receivable, it is impossible to keep track of VAT on the actual invoice, it only has an option for sales tax, which get added onto the final price. In 2005, or in the future, is there/could there be an option to either (in invoices/AR): - Have sales tax/VAT INCLUDED in the price of the goods instead of added to the price, or - Have an option, just like the account transaction form, where an income entry can have VAT included as part of the price. e.g. Bananas 10.00 VAT / Sales Tax 0.91 instead of Bananas 9.09 VAT / Sales Tax 0.91 Thanks Tag: Checkfree problems Tag: 178816

    - unique problem importing qif statements I'm having a problem that no one else seems to have addressed in this forum. I use my CheckCard as a debit card when I can, but many stores only support credit card transactions. For all the credit card transactions, Money truncates the text for the transaction in the qif file, so that for each entry it only gets through the first 15 characters or so. In my bank's system, that only contains the date and "EFT TRANS"-- nothing about the vendor. So when I import I get a statement that looks like this: EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 EFT TRANS 10102004 The vendor names all come after the date but Money never sees this. Debit card transactions work fine because the vendor name is listed first. Is there a way to fix this so I don't have to go through and change the vendor name for each credit card transaction?     - Matching or accepting of downloaded transactions in 05 I FINALLY got my accounts to sync correctlyin Money 2005, however there seems to be no option for transaction matching or accepting of downloaded transactions in the register. I always enter my transactions manally as my bank is a little too slow (IMHO) in posting transactions. In Money 04, when I downloaded transactions (via MSN Money) it would try to match transactions I already had with the downloaded ones. If one didn't match automatically, you could easily make it. only option I have is MSN bill pay. I have been using checkfree for years
now with previous versions of money but I can't find any way to associate a
checking account with checkfree for bill pay. Anyone know how to do this?

Contact support by phone and they can walk you through it. You've actually
been using MSn billpay even though you didn't realize it.
