Cash purchases

How can I enter purchases made by cash into my accounts?
For example my husband will buy groceries or other small
items and pay with cash and I can't add them even though
I have the names of the stores in the money payees. When
I buy and pay with credit card or debit card these are
entered automatically.

2) When you make a cash withdrawal from checking or savings - transfer =

You really should have learned how to use Money without all of this
downloaded transactions stuff first--for some accounts, like a petty
cash/pocket change account, there is nobody to download data from, so you
really have to know how to do it.

First you need to set up a new account for cash. Whenever
you write a check for Cash or use an ATM that is a
Transfer to the Cash Account. Whenever you pay for
something with cash you use the cash account.

Is there any reason why you can't use splits? IE., $50 cash with
splits for $30 groceries, $20 auto fuel, etc.
