    - Cash Flow forecast and Advanced Budget I'm using advanced budget and have all my bills/deposits set up. However, when I click on my cash flow, it appears to not show all my budgeted items, such as food and gasoline.     - 401k statement date While entering historical data for my 401k, I accidently entered a statement date of 9/30/2006 instead of 9/30/2000. I didn't realize it until I tried to load 12/31/2000 statement, and received a pop-up that said "please enter a statement date later than your last statement date". After realizing my error, I deleted the transactions with the incorrect date and tried to reenter them with the correct date. At the 401k manager, it still shows the 9/30/2006 statement date, and won't let me enter any transactions prior to it.     - same day buy/sell transactions for ms money 2007 Hello, can anyone discuss how to handle this. If I buy and sell a stock the same day, MS Money does not seem to add these transactions according to the TIME these transactions occured. this causes the buys to all be grouped together and the sells to be grouped together. additionally since the SELL transactions are first in the register before the BUY transations for the SAME day, this causes the share count to go negative. So money then rectifies this by adding ADD SHARE and REMOVE SHARE transations, screwing up the profit and loss since these transactions have to price. How do I get MS Money to understand same day transactions? Moving the dates around can help but doesn't always work because sometimes it won't let me move the BUY transactions before the SELL transactions. Tag: Capital one download Tag: 217678

    - Windows Live ID versusa Passport SOrt of off topic, but this came about due to Money 2007 DLX. I have and would like to keep my current Passport account so I can access my MCP transcript. I use this to login to Windows Live ID to configure MSN alerts, etc for 2007 DLX. I don't care for the MSN alerts, so if I close my Windows Live ID account, will it also delete or remove my Passport account?     - 401K Methodology What is the correct methodology or process for doing the following in my 401K in 2007DLX? I have a 401k dating back to 1993 and tracking each purchase. Sometimes my employer will eliminate a fund (i.e. XYZ) and add an equivalent new fund (i.e YZX). If I were to swap 1000 shares of XYZ at $2 each for 2000 shares of YZX at $1 each, would you recommend that, - I first sell the 1000 shares of XYZ and then purchase YZX? - Remove 1000 shares of of XYZ, and then add shares of YZX?     - Money 2007 SP 1 and Vista Business I recently did a clean install of Vista Business. I then installed Money 2007 (which I had previously been running on XP Professional). I of course got SP 1 pushed down afterwards. I then receive the repeating request to install the SP. I'm trying to follow the directions of this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927811 However when I go to the directory it indicates the files aren't there. Specifically I'm having a problem with these steps: 12. In the Windows Explorer bar, click Compatibility Files to open the VirtualStore files window for Money 2007. 13. Right-click MNYCoreFiles, and then click Delete. When I click "Compatibility Files" it opens a list but doesn't have MNYCoreFiles.     - More M07 and Vista observations Tried the looping update message fix but no cigar. I did find that if I turn off UAC, the message goes away, but I am thinking the update doesn't think it's complete. If I turn UAC back on the message comes back, but programs shows the updated version and works as designed. I just cancel at each start. At first on install it would not connect to my live ID. I turned off web shield in Avast, and it worked. After a few reboots it works fine with web shield enabled. Reason I am running Avast is that I am running 64 bit Vista.     - My Password blanks out A strange thing has just started to occur. My MS Money 2005 file is protected by a password. When i open the file i enter my email and then my password. If working offline the password is blanked out when i click sign in and the file does not open.     - Money 2007 - Grrrrr I have had nothing but trouble since upgrading to Money 2007. Every time I open it, my entire pc freezes. I close M'07, but in fact, it continues running in the background. I have to use task panel to shut down the program before I can shut down my pc. Restart will not work. Everything has to be totally shut down before I can open and use any other program. I have "repaired" it using Microsoft instructions; and even tried uninstalling '07, then reinstalled it. I cleared the cache, dumped the recycle bin, basically got rid of all the traces I could find of '07 before reinstalling it. No improvement. I have Win XP.     - Haven't Used Money in long time Greetings, After diligently recording all transactions in Money, I stopped. I want to be able to start from now and then fill in the missing information (about 7 months worth). What is the best way to start recording things as though starting fresh and then incorporating the data that I already had, while taking the next few weeks to fill in the gaps?     - Money 2007 Issue Hi, I recently upgraded from Money 2004 to 2007. All seemed to go well, but now when I update with my bank an odd thing happens. I update and can see that I have downloaded transactions, but when I go to the register they aren't visible. I then close and restart Money. The transactions are now visible but I can't accept them because it says another online process is running. I then close and restart Money. I can now accept the transactions.     - Reason to upgrade to Money 2007? I have MS Money 2006, which works reasonably well. My question is (and has probably been asked before): Is it worthwhile for me to upgrade to Money 2007? I know if I get the TaxCut software I can get Deluxe for basically free (via a rebate). But things are working OK with 2006 and I don't want to take the chance of screwing things up unless there is a real compelling reason to upgrade (like faster, less memory, less bugs, smaller data files, etc).     - Lost entries after synchronizing in Microsoft Money 2005 I have been using Microsoft Money 2005 for almost 2 years. I synchronized my Microsoft Money a couple of nights ago so that I could view my accounts from any computer.     - Budget Problems using Money 2004 When trying to set up a budget, I want to include my mortgage payments in the budget. I've got the mortgage set up using the "loan" option so that I transfer payments from my bank account to the "loan" account after each payment. In the budget, it shows my mortgage amount under the "actual" column but it won't allow me to "budget" for the mortgage payment. How can I fix this problem so that my mortgage payments (and other debt payments) show up in the budget planner?     - Account setup temporarily Unavailable I installed Money 2006 standard about a week ago and online setup all my accounts were available for indirect downloading. For some reason, since then, have lost a couple of accounts that are no longer available for the service, one of which is Bank of America (California) this seems to have happened yesterday or the day before. When I attempt to again set up the service I get the subject message. Is anyone else having this same experience? I can however do direct downloads into my accounts.     - Question about upgrading from trial version. I finally got sick of the unreliability of downloading quotes to Quicken. Downloaded the trial of MM7 Deluxe last week and have successfully moved everything to this version. Everything seems to be working fine. Have accounts at Schwab and Merrill Lynch, and American Express CC. The direct download from these institutions seems to be working OK, and the quotes download has been faultless so far. A couple of other CC's require going to their website and manually downloading. No problems so far. The portfolio reports I think are excellent and I like the way the prices get updated when I switch to the portfolio view. The only issue I have run into is that for bonds that return capital this is treated as gains, and also the correct position value is not picked up from the broker, it is just (incorrectly) calculated as price x number of bonds. (Looking at the portfolio report). Looking or a workaround for this. So I ordered MM Deluxe from Amazon ($39.99). (I hope the rebate is included). Will arrive next week. My question (finally) is, is there any trick to installing the regular version over the trial? Should the trial be uninstalled first? Naturally I have the .mny and backup files located in the default "my Documents" folder. I would expect that they would be accessible once the new software is installed. Thanks for any advice.     - Money 2006 Debt Reduction bug I am trying to do a debt reduction scenerio on a Equity line. All the current amounts, rate and loan amounts are the same. I walk through the debt reduction specifiying a monthly amount + $0 on time payment. But for some reason in schedule me a $12000+ one time payment onthe first month.     - Is this "what if" possible? I have a certain debt I want to pay off by May. However, I'd like to fiddle with the numbers (income, expense, unexpecteds) along the way. I have all of my bills enter the register a month ahead of their due date. I then enter my next month's income. This gives me an accurate view of how the next month will go down. I'd like to employ that same strategy to about six months out but not against my main register and I don't want it affecting my net worth. Basically, a parallel world that I can keep the current transactions going in also. This allows me to fiddle with numbers in real-time without affecting the real data. I have some bills that got "missed" because they were paid out of a different account. I know I can skip a bill, but not sure what impact that will have overall. last few weeks? I stop the online service and then restarted it and
has not worked for last few weeks. All other accounts with other banks
are working fine.

Erissa,

Capital One has been having issues of their own so its no surprise that
the aggregator is unable to reliably provide info to your Money file.
You could try downloading from the Capital One site. Good Luck!
