I am using Money 2004. When I produce an Income and Expense Report the
Capital Gains from my tax deferred accounts are mixed in with the data from
my taxable accounts. I have verified that the accounts are properly
categorized in the Account Details screens. Is there a provision to reports
these gains separately?

Sure, you can customize the report and exclude those accounts.

You can customize a report to select which accounts you want
included in the report.

For looking at taxable capital gains,
Reports->ReportsGallery->Taxes->Capital Gains would be a very useful
report.
