...or my old Money 2004 after downloading the "free trial." I cannot get
support from Microsoft without a product ID (which I don't have for the free
trial) and I can't seem to restore any old files, even using the run box and
instructions from microsoft.com.

Hello Bob, I upgraded from MS Money 2004 to MS Money 2006, purchased and
downloaded from the MS Web-site. but the doenloaded program was a trial
version, set to expire 2/23/06. I recieved an e-mail notification:

"Dear Customer, This mail is confirmation that you successfully purchased
Microsoft Money 2006 Standard (one-time charge of $29.95 plus tax) on
Saturday, November 26, 2005. Here is a description of your purchase:

For more information about Microsoft Money, please visit our web site at
www.microsoft.com/money"

No where can I find a way to convert the Trial version to a full version.
any suggestions?

Thank you very much for any assistance,
Don

From a previous post by Cal Learner:-

Do something similar to, but not the same as
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;889930

In the resolution, create a NEW empty file (named perhaps Temp.mny)
that you put the referenced Passport onto. Close Money. Restart
Money.

Confirm that Money shows the right version. Then click on your
real Money file that is shown on the bottom of the File menu.

Thanks Bob, that did the trick. The link you suggested is just what I needed,
as well as a few extra brain cells.
Thanks again,
Don
