I can log in to my passport account via the web, but starting today, when I
fire up Money, it tells me that Money can't verify my login. What gives?

The MSN Money web-site is updating.

Thanks - that needs to be reflected better in the error message.

Some product this Microsoft web is. They tricked me into connecting to
the MSN Money Web by pretending that it would give me online access to
a new bank. They did not provide the online access. Then, without
notice, they cut me off from online bill paying (like I used to do
before being connected to the MSN Money Web) for 24 hours. And finally
their client application waste my time by producing meaningless
messages implying the bank is down and I should retry in 5 minutes.

This looks like a quicken option to me.

Dose that happen during the day on a Friday? Most banks would wait
until early in the morning on a Sunday. This happeded to me at 3:30
PM pacific time.

This is pure BS! How arrogant can a company be. They decide to shut off
everyone's access to thier accounts on a Friday aftenoon?!?!?!?! This
counld't have been done at 3:00 am some day? If this type of software isn't
dependable, what good is it? I could give a rat's ass about the web site. I
want to pay bills.

I just uninstalled/re-installed the entire Money application for
nothing. Glad I found this Group, even after the fact.

Thanks Mark!

It would be nice if they could give you a notification instead of some
crypto generic message about logging in. Then they wonder why people get
frustrated with their computers/programs. That's why if I want answers I
always go to messageboards. There's always someone there who can enlighten
you.

Hey! Microsoft are you listening?

Ditto that. I just wasted about 3 hours going through all the various steps
in support.microsoft etc.

It seems that, given the fact that Microsoft has our "Credentials",
including our email, they could have broadcast a message that could have
saved many of us a lot of time.

I was about to head out to buy Quicken, may still not be a bad idea.

I mirror the sentiments of all others who responded to this e-mail. I stopped
short of uninstalling and installing.

The money website states that the integration will be complete by Saturday
20th. I just tried this morning, i have feeling that they are not completed
yet.

As of Sunday AM Tennessee time I can login OK, but whenever I perform
online updates I get the message that updates with MS Money are
temporarily unavailable, and the "call" encountered an error. Anyone
else seeing this?

cash accounts are getting the same error as pathos57.

As of Tuesday, 7am Cnetral, I still cannot log on, and I get "Money had
encountered an error and must restart" when I try to enter anything in
offline mode.

Thanks, MS, for encouraging me to drop yet another product in favor of one
that actually works as advertised.

Are they still having issues? I had to reload Money on a different computer
a month ago. I had problems with the login/password at that time. I create
a back up everytime I close out Money.

Today, I keep getting the login/password does not match profile. I went in
and changed my password a dozen times and I still cannot get into Money but I
am able to access passport.

Is this what you all are experiencing? I am going to find out if I can
export Money into Quickbooks. This is completely intolerable.

I'm fed up with MS Money. can't log in. Says I'm not online ( I am) some
online accounts won't download (when it works) This has been days and days of
frustration. Quicken here I come. I have been as MS Money user since 2000
and I have NEVER had so many problems.

I spent an hour on the phone with support last night. Their suggestion when
they had me reconfigure my computer - contact my router/firewall to have them
allow MS Money to run.

When I bypassed the router and went directly to my DSL - yes - Money STILL
would not allow me to sign on or even work off-line.

Better yet, something got messed up and I am unable to send emails but am
able to receive them. So I am fondly looking forward to FIXING the email
config and making another purchase of Quicken.

Thank you Microsoft for not only selling shoddy product but ensuring that
there is no support and have no respect whatsoever to my finances or time. I
would almost like to buy a MAC -
