When I try to sign in to Money Plus Delux on XP using my Windows Live ID I am getting the message "The email address or passowrd is incorrect. Please try again." If I sign in to hotmail or MSN everything is fine. Money is the only one having issues. I even went as far as starting a new fine and creating a new Windows Live ID to test it with no luck.     - Loan shows up as Income I'm trying to figure out how to enter a loan in my check register without it showing up as Income that I would pay tax on or that I would want to declare as income. I understand that the payback is an expense, but am unsure how to make it work right. I do have a separate loan account that I have set up, and want the amount I put in my checkbook register to come off of that amount as well.     - Money Plus SP1 update fails I have XP SP2 and today got a message when I logged into Money Plus (including online services) to update the software. Clicked OK --> Money closed, downloaded started and just before it was 100% it gave an error that the update failed and to try again later. Have read a number of posts about this and tried various solutions 1. Rebooted several times 2. Turned off windows firewall 3. Disabled virus protection 4. Running as admin 5. No compatibilities checked off under properties. Nothing works. The download stops and the get the message that update fails and to try again later. I also tried to ignore the message and kept using MOney and it gives an error when trying to update transactions for my Credit Card. Used to work fine till today. Any ideas?     - No More Webconnect? I've been having problems updating any of my accounts from Wells Fargo for the past few days. Upon calling Wells Fargo, since Microsoft doesn't seem to have any human-to-human tech support for their products, two different agents informed me that with a recent Money Plus update MS has pulled the plug on their auto-update feature (webconnect). Is this true? Why discontinue such a convenient service? Very frustrating to say the least as I've been pulling my hair out trying to get my accounts to update for the past four days.     - Money Plus SP1 - No Improvement for Spending Tracker I had hoped the long awaited service pack would resolve the "Spending Tracker" performance issues, but sadly no, the performance remains lousy. If I eliminate the Spending Tracker content from the home page, the home page will display within 2-3 seconds. After adding the "spending Tracker" content the display time slows to a snails pace...32-34 seconds.     - Money Plus slowness Have been reading the discussions pertaining to the required update as well as how slow Money plus has become. It is abominable to be this slow, +1 min. between pages.     - Money Plus SP1 Update I just upgraded to Money Plus today. When I open the application it tells me that there is an update that needs to be applied. When I say OK - Money Plus closes - the Microsoft Money Updater window appears - the files get downloaded - the download progress goes to 100%. The screen then goes away and then everything just hangs there. Nothing ever re-opens. When I try to run Money Plus again - it tells me that an update is needed. When I say OK a second time it tells me that the update process is already running. I noticed that the daupdate.exe stays loaded in memory - so it appears to me that something is getting hung.     - Tax Estimate includes Roth Reinvested Distributions Hi, The reinvested distributions in the ROTH IRA account shows up in the tax estimator as dividend income. The account has been set up as a retirement account in Money 2006 Deluxe. I tried "right click", remove this transaction from tax calculations..did not work I tried "remove" ...also did not work. I tried to change the category of the orignal transaction, but unable to do so because Money does not seem to allow the investment activity category to be changed. How do I exlcude these distributions from the tax estimator? Is there a way to create a new type of "Investment Activity" in the options available from the drop down list... for instance "Reinvest Tax Exempt Distributions" ? Is there a way to change the mapping of the "revinest dividends" so that it maps to a different Category? Apologies if this has been previously covered.     - MS Money Plus SP1 issue On 3/24 got the prompt to update software (I assume this would be SP1) when I opened MS Money Plus; I replied ok and Money closed. Soon after the following appeared "Microsoft Money software update functionality requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 or better." I have been running Windows XP Professional SP2 for almost 2 years (Windows Update site knows that I have SP2 installed).     - Updating Accounts via MSN/Yodlee Hello - I have two credit card accounts with institutions that do not support direct downloads themselves, but work through the MSN/Yodlee servers (CapitalOne & Bank of America). I have noticed that if I leave Microsoft Money running for a while, and do an "Update Now", these two accounts typically generate an "Update Unsuccessful" message. However, if go to moneycentral.msn.com, choose the "My Money" tab, and sign in immediately before the update, it typically works! Perhaps it has something to do with my Passport/Live ID credentials expiring and needing to be renewed? Anyway, has anyone else noticed this, and is there a work around that avoids the moneycentral login step? Note that I do log into Money initially with my LiveID.     - How to handle standard mileage expense for Schedule C I have this set up in money with a Business Expense for standard = mileage. I have it tied to Schedule C as I do also my income group for = gross receipts. My question is what do I do with the other half of the = Expense (MS is double entry although it tries to hide it). I created an = income account called Travel Allowance and made it Tax-Exempt. But this = doesn't seem quite right. What is the standard accountant's way of = handling this?     - Capital Gains of $0 I'm experiencing what appears to be an inconsistency in the reporting on the YTD Capital Gains Report. For some of my transactions, where the Sale Proceeds are equal to the Purchase Cost (i.e. $0 Gain/Loss), the report includes the transaction correctly showing the Gain/Loss as 0.00. For other transactions, where the Sale Proceeds are also equal to the Purchase Cost, the report does NOT include the transaction. In each of the cases I'm trying to resolve, the amounts are round numbers (i.e. 300 at $100), so there shouldn't be any fractional pennies creating an inexact $0. I have noticed that some of my "Mutual Fund" transactions ARE appearing on the report, while some of my "Other" and "Money Market" transactions are NOT appearing. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the inconsistency I'm seeing. Any suggestions of tweaking I can do?     - Income Counted Twice in Budget View as "Uncategorized Income" Hello - I am using MS Money 2008 Deluxe. Recently, the budget view started counting my income twice. Specifically, it is listed correctly for the income category that I entered it into the register as. However, it also is listed as "Uncategorized Income". I've done a quick search of this group and there was some mention of the phantom bills problem. However - I don't think that is the case here since some of the income incorrectly recorded is not input through the bills (for instance - a time tax refund).     - Money plus Home & Business - Portfolio page empty ? No data, no account I use Microsoft Money 2007 Home & Business and now i'm trying the Money plus H&B version So I open my Money 2007 file in Money Plus and it convert the file. I notice also that I Money plus we don't have the advance budget features anymore ! So now when I go to the Portfolio page i get an empty page and also nothing in the left pane of the screen ! This is the trial version I use while I wait to get the full version mailed to me. i'm not very happy that the Portfolio page don't work ! I have Windows Vista (32 bits).     - Transfer to Savings Two part question. 1) My bank does an automatic transfer of money from my primary checking to my savings account. What "Category" do I put that under since it's not really an income or expense.     - Must be connected to the internet I was warned that MS Money was junk. I was also warned that Vista was not even close to a true release version. I assumed that my degree in Software Engineering and decade of industry experience would ensure that the problems I was warned about would not happen to me. I was wrong. I have purchased a new quad core dell pc with Vista. I then purchase Money Plus Deluxe and spent around 8 hours importing my accounts, categorizing my expenses, setting up a budget, setting up bill payment, etc. Today I tried to open Money. Money prompted me that it required a software update in order to proceed. I let it run the update. Now MS Money cannot sign in stating "You must be connected to the internet to sign in online." That makes sense except that I am online. I can get online. I can sign into my Live account. I am now ON HOLD with technical support. They obviously don't have a clue. I am technically inclined and cannot make a dent in the problem. Shut down anti-virus, turned off firewall, checked Advanced Internet settings, reinstalled MS Money, etc. If a technical person can't run this software the average end user doesn't stand a chance. My two cents ... MS Money sucks. MS Vista sucks even worse (didn't mention that I am paying for a 6 megaBit connection and getting 6 megaBits on every machine in the house except for my new dual core box) I hate Microsoft (if you can't tell) ...     - Money 2004 Online Services expired I bougtht Money 2004 Deluxe a few years back. Never used it until recently. Last night I updated the software (not transactions, etc) and upon reboot, I could no longer use the Update Prices feature that fetches securities prices automatically. Did some research and looked like it was because 2004's Online Services would have ended on 9/1/2007. Apparently that software update triggered this. Money website says if this happens, upgrade to the current version of Money. However is there anyway that I just pay for the Online Services without upgrading to Money 2008? Thanks for your reponse.     - Microsoft Money Has Stopped Working Yesterday I started Money Plus and got a message that there was an update to download and install. I completed that update and got a message that if Money didn't run to properly to restart my computer. I did that and when I try to run Money I get a message that says MICROSOFT MONEY HAS STOPPED WORKING. I tried to use the fix that you sent me back in November of 2007, which pointed me to this article in the Microsoft Knowledge Database http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942485 but it did not work. When I clicked "turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:" and tried to add the Money executable files to the DEP list I got a message that said "This program must run with data execution prevention (DEP) enabled.     - update error My bank did maintenance on the site which caused a problem in updating accounts. I have been in contact with them and they gave me instructions on how to fix this. They said I needed to stop online services and then set up online services again. My problem is when I go under manage online services and then choose my bank and choose stop online services, nothing happens. I think this is due to the fact that on the account list screen it says update in process next to all the accounts at this bank. Is there a way to stop the current update in process so that I can cancel the online service?     - 2008 money invoice designer completely broken for me Specs: Vista Ultimate Money 2k8 Home and Biz Trial Both updated I just downloaded the trial version of Money. I plan(ned?) on buying it and using it for my business. The first thing I did after installing, was open the Invoice Designer and try to create an invoice... I say try because it doesn't work -- at all. First, I tried to add my company logo but the logo box becomes attached to my mouse pointer and I cannot resize the logo. I have to hit ESC for the logo box to detach. No matter what I click on in the designer -- label, textbox, logo -- it becomes attached to my mouse. I searched for answers but only found one post with no responses. Money updated today and still same problem. I sure am glad I downloaded the trial version and didn't pay for this...     - Money Plus SP1 issue? Tonight Money Plus prompted me for a required update to SP1. Since that point my Credit Union files will not sync (State Employees Credit Union (NC)). I receive a OFXHTTP500 error. Doing some searching here and elsewhere I found someone that received this error and it was due to a corrupted Money file. So, I've not tried to restore a number of older Money backups and they all give me this same error - I'm doubting my Money file was in error - I'm strongly suspecting this new SP 1 update. I called MS Support and they talked me through Exporting my existing (non-updating) accounts, setting up new Credit Union accounts and importing the old records back in. Now, the "new" accounts will update on-line - however I'm left with a huge mess to go back through my accounts and clean up all the transactions to point the accounts to the right places (change all transfers to the "working" account vs. the now non-working ones which I'll need to delete).     - Mortgage bill incorrect I have set up an automatic bill for my mortgage payment using Money Plus Delux that includes extra principal. It displays correctly when I edit the series but when I click on the "Enter in register" button, the dialog box comes up with just the loan amount. It will say it is closing Money, but you may have to deal with the backup popups if you have Money set up that way. Wait a minute or two. Reopen Money. Those who removed spending and performance modules from the home page due to very slow performance should be able to add those back with reasonable performance.     - Revert data from 2005 to 2002 UK version? I 'upgraded' to the UK 2005 version about 2 years ago, but it is now failing to connect to my online banks. I seem to remember some in- built obsolescence in the online features so I presume this is the problem Is it possible to revert the data file back to the 2002 version?     - Money Plus - Vista compatablility problem I am trying to move Money Plus to a new computer that runs Vista. Money Plus is asking for a 20 digit key & the Money plus has a 25 digit product key. I enter new banking data but Money Plus never retains the new data. Any ideas? I have reloaded a dozen times.     - Online banking access I downloaded Mocrosoft money home and business and trying to set up the banking and credit card information for online access. Although I have active online access to the bank and credit card, it continuously tells that "Currently, the account set up is unavailable. Please try later again"(banking) and " you don't have online access to that financial institution"(Credit card). I tried many times and this problem persists. I went to online troubleshoot where I didn't find any solution for this. could anyone kindly give me the solution for this?     - Reconcile multiple accounts I am currently using Money 2004 and have three checking accouts set up in Money but all three are actually one bank account. In an older version of MS Money I could combine multiple account to reconcile as one. Does anyone know if I can do this is Money 2004? If not, I am ready and willing to upgrade to Money Plus Deluxe but want to make sure the combined balancing feature is available before I purchase. Does anyone know if I can do this in Plus Deluxe?     - Invoice Currency not base currency - Money 2007 H&B I'm in Canada trying to use this product. My base currency is CDN, yet when I create an invoice it is in US$. I've made sure my Windows settings are Canadian. Internet searches show people asking how to create multi-currency invoices (which doesn't seem possible). In some of those posts I've seen people say that invoices are created in the base currency. This is not correct - invoices seem to always default to US$ Any suggestions? Thanks ..     - How do we associate a bill with a downloaded transaction? Hi all I'm using Money Plus H&B I've scheduled some electronic transfers into my Money Bills summary However, I had my bank issue the transfers directly (not within money). I've now downloaded the latest info from my bank into Money and the transfers show up as expected in their appropriate registers in Money. I now need to "accept" each transfer. However, I'd like to be able to tell Money which transfer in the Bills summary each newly downloaded transction is associated with (and hopefully have Money automatically clear the transaction in Money's Bill summary. I'm using Money Plus with SP1 on XP.

When I click Enter Into Registry Button from Bill Summary page, nothing
happens. It worked fine before the SP1.

Any idea to slve this?
