    - Why different pay days in Bill summary? Two of my scheduled electronic payments are due on the same day. When I go into my Calender view, they both are listed on the same day as expected. However, when I view them in Bills summary, there is a note for each in red lettering, one says "This electronic payment must be sent within 2 days.". The other says "This electonic payment must be sent within 4 days." Why the difference in notes when both are actually scheduled for the same day? I have money 2005 backup file (.mbf) and my original file has gotten corrupted somehow and can't repair it (computer hung and had to be restarted). Whenever I try to restor the backup file, I get the following message, Window Title: Money Multiple Disk Backup Message: Please insert the next backup disk. (The disk containing file "".) I was backing up on a different connected single harddrive and there is only one file. The file is not in multiple pieces and on different drives.     - Did Money 2008 fix any of these issues? I was looking to upgrade my 2007 Home&Biz to 2008 Home&Biz for only tthree reasons: 1. CPU performance Issues with Background banking. 2. Money hanging when reconciling electronic transactions downloaded from my Bank with those which were setup as recurring loan transactions (Such as a Mortgage or Auto payment). This requires TaskManager->End Task and Microsoft's recommendation was the Nuke the bills and re-enter. That works for about a month or so... 3. (Business) Time Tracking screen refresh delays. Also, can someone enlighten me on what is 'Enhanced Background Banking?" So far from what I can tell it looks like none of these are resolved. I do have the last 8 years of data in Money, but I think for the next fiscal year it's time to switch to a product that a company actually puts effort into maintaining...     - Background Banking error crashes IE I have Money Plus DLX adn have enabled background banking. When Im navigating in IE it will crash and the log says " The instructions at "0x7c910e03" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written". This appears in a dialog box titled "MICROSOFT MONEY BACKGROUND BANKING: MNYBB.EXE-APPLICATION ERROR".     - New Services? I just started using Money in January and I'm pretty disappointed with the online accounts that are available....or more specifically NOT available. For instance we have 2 car loans with Honda Finance, and Money doesnt support that. We also have 3 credit cards that arent supported. Overall I might just write it off as the loan provider not offering this service. HOWEVER, I use Bank of America and their "Online Portfolio" supports ALL of these accounts except for 2 gas card. When I do an invoice, and it is paid, and then I = deposit it to my checking account (no problem), when the deposit clears = and I download it from my bank, Money refuses to match it.     - 401k value multiplier? I have a 401k through Nationwide, and I'm u sing Money Plus. Money doesnt support automatic updates from Nationwide, but I can download my transactions into Money from their website. This works fine except that Money calculates the value based on 1-to-1 value of the mutual funds, but in the 401k itself, I dont buy '1 share' of a fund, I buy fractions of shares. The problem is that Money doesnt know this, so it calculates the value of Approximately 10x the actual value, and it shows a 1000% increase! (i wish!)     - Microsoft Money 2007 Archiving Problem Windows XP SP3 Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe I am trying to archive my 2007 records as I have done every year. This year I finally got my 401(k) into Money. The problem is when I ask Money to archive to clear out 2007 the list of accounts to archive does not list my 401(k) at all. So I select all accounts I can and then in the cleaner file with only 2008 in it all of my paychecks from 2007 still remain in my register (I'm assuming because the 401(k) is still attached to them and if they disappear things won't balance). Is there something I can do so that this will not happen. As much as I like my paychecks this seems like an oversight either by me or MS.     - Budgeting for Insurance I'm using MS Money Essentials and I want to account for my Insurance costs on a monthly basis in my budget. My Insurance is actually only due every 6 months, but I want to put money aside every month so I'll have enough when it comes due. So what is the best way to do this?     - downloaded Money Essentials, cannot open anything I just bought and downloaded and registered Money Essentials after using Moaney Plus for the trial period. After installation, Essentials does not put a shortcut on the desktop and no other links to open ONLY Eseentials. So I got to open up my old link to Money Plus.     - funds transfer to another account. I'm in the process of setting up Money+ Deluxe for the first time. So far so good considering I'm a newbie to using any kind of personal finance software and thick as a brick when it comes to accounting. So please bear with me and please type slowly... I have two separate chequing accounts at my bank with one set up specifically for me to dump money into and to have mortgage payments automatically withdrawn from. I've been doing this for years at my bank and I've setup the same accounts in Money the same way. ie: check1 & check2 I have all transactions to date from Jan of this year entered and am currently in the ~tedious~ process of going through each transaction verifying against my bank statements and assigning to categories. I've "accepted" the transactions once they're complete but haven't reconciled anything yet as some transactions really have me stymied as to how to categorize them so that they don't throw my reports out of whack. Ordinarily, at the bank I transfer money from Check1 to Check2; VISA; etc. How do I categorize a transfer from Check1 to Check2 so that it doesn't appear in reports as an extra expense and income (in the Check2 acc't). It balances but, for example in Reports it shows that I'm spending twice on the mortgage than I actually am. Actually, a bit more as I generally transfer a few dollars more to cover fees and to maintain a small balance in check2. When I download the information the next day, Money Plus consistently enters the transactions in the wrong order. The sell order is entered first. Since there are no shares, Money Plus always adds additional shares, then enters the sell order, followed by the buy order. So I need to correct the transactions manually by changing the buy date to a day earlier and deleting the added shares. Is there any other way to handle this.     - trying to re-install Money 2006 online - but Money wont let me sig In an attempt to re-install the files for Money 2006 online I am now stuck with the trial version of Money 2006 only and I cannot log into my passport account in order to download the full version of Money 2006. Here is the real pain about this, I am able to log into my passport account in several places including the MS Money web site. I can log into my account and see the various accounts I have set up in Money there. I need to use this same passport account as it was the one I used when I originally downloaded Money 2006. No matter what I do within in MOney 2006 I get the message "Youâ??re sign in information could not be verifiedâ?? Any suggestions to help me with this?     - Loan account - which account do the payments come from? Hi, Something else that's giving me trouble. I've set up a loan account - all seems to be fine. It's a three year loan, and the first two payments had already been made when I set the thing up in Money. Money coped with this fine, and within the register of the loan account it now accurately shows the first two payments and the principal-element of each payment, together with the diminishing value of the outstanding loan. However, it doesn't seem to be linked in any way to the account from which the payments are actually being made. Conceptually it seems to me that the loan payments are made up of 1) an expense element (the interest) which needs to be debited from the bank account from which the payment is made, and 2) a transfer from the paying account to the loan account, whereby the amount outstanding is reduced. Anyway, how do Iink the regular monthly "bill" which I've set up within the account from which payments are made to the loan account itself? Cheers!     - Exporting from Fidelity In the past years I have used Quicken for my home business. I have changed to M/S Money for a good reason. Problem: When I Export my three funds to Money, I get all three funds as a group, not the individual funds that I own. Nor can I seperate them as I could in Quicken.     - Transaction which is part expense, part transfer I have a debit from an account associated with arranging a remortgage on a house. Part of the sum debited is a payment of legal expenses, so it belongs in the "mortgage expenses" category. Part of it is a sum which was used to reduced the amount of the sum owed to the lender. The loan reduction element is effectively a transfer to the loan account, but the "split" dialogue box only allows you to allocate a "withdrawal" to different categories, it doesn't let you split an amount between a withdrawal and a transfer. I have several Chase accounts defined to Money Plus Deluxe, including
some investment accounts. I also have a Fidelity IRA and a Vanguard
401(k) defined. For some reason, when I update prices on the weekend
for these accounts, there is one Chase investment account that does not
get ANY price, which leaves the investment with a zero balance.

Has anyone else seen this and is there a fix?
