A few weeks ago I downloaded the trial version of Money to
see if I would prefer it to Quicken. I gave Money the edge
and decided to buy Money 2004 but I didn't want to download
it.

I put the CD in the computer and it gave me a message that
Money was already installed on my computer and I needed to
uninstall before it would load - no options. But there is
no uninstall program on my downloaded trial version.

Did I waste my Money!?!?

Uninstall and install. You will not lose data. The data is in the
.mny file, which uninstall will not delete.

Sounds good Cal but the CD does not give me the option to
complete installation or I wouldn't have the problem. The
CD will not let me install unless I uninstall the resident
version of MM2004 on my PC.

So are you suggesting that I go out and delete everything
in the MM2004 folder? I hope not...

No, tho that would PROBABLY not hurt you, don't do it.

In Start->Settings->ControlPanel->AddOrRemovePrograms select
Microsoft Money 2004 and click Change/Remove.

I don't know why the CD does not offer to reinstall directly over
the existing install.

>Thx - I went to add/remove pgms in the windows control
panel (MM2004 help guided me) and my purchased MM2004 is
installed.

I have 1 additional question - in Quicken I could track the
values of stocks which I wanted to keep track of. My watch
account in MM2004 does not show the daily price
fluctuations unless I pull up the online report - is there
any way to access the value fluctuations of watch stocks
without going online?

You can get a graph of the last year's prices by going to the
investment Details. Click Price History on the left. Hover over a
spot on the graph to get numbers, or right-click to export.
