I am trying import my data from my old version of Money
(money 99 oem) into money 2004 and not having any luck.
I keep getting a error message and the file closes. The
message seems to point to a problem with a file named
mnyob99.dll. The helpful staff at microsoft tell me its
a corupt file and I am out of luck. But the file (my
money file) opens fine on my other computer. What can I
do? I am not to impressed with microsoft up to now.

Are you literally "importing"? To upgrade from an earlier version of Money
all you need to do is load M2004 and Open the previous Money file (not
backups).

See if either of these helps.

>I had a serious problem with transferring my money data

error message and was told by Microsoft customer service
that this was common and there was nothing that could be
done. Having 11 years worth of financial data lost was
not acceptable.
Solution. I stumbled onto a solution that worked great.
I transferred my MS money data (money 99) into a version
of money on my kid's computer (money 2000) I then backed
up the file and moved it to the new computer and opened
the file in Money 2004 WITHOUT ANY LOST DATA.
This is for your information with anyone who has this
problem.
