I have a question regarding the Budget function in Money 2004. When I run
the budget wizard (the regular process, not autobudget), I get a category,
"Transfers out of budget accounts." It is referring to one of my credit
cards. Specifically, it is taking the amount I am using as the default for
that account in the Bills and Deposits section and calling that an expense
item. I want the account to be in the budget, and I can't find anywhere I
have designated it out of the budget. Can anyone help me understand what is
going on here?

Thanks,

John

For that transfer amount to disappear, you'll need to put both accounts into
the budget, so go to the credit card details and select the checkbox to
include it.

Thanks for your response, Glyn, The crazy part is that the account is
included in the budget. I'm assuming that you're talking about the two
boxes, "include this account in the budget planner" and "use this account
for budgeted savings goals." This is Money 2004. I can't imagine what I am
overlooking.

Yeha, that's what I'd have expected what the issue is.... perhaps you need
to take each account out of the budget in turn, see what happens and then
put them back in again.

There is another thought and that is ]that somehow you've got something
corrupted in the bills/deposits area. Try other ways of viewing the
information - see if sorting by Amount, account, category to see if you see
duplicate entries. Try deleting the payment and recreating it.

How about creating a new budget or removing the payment from the DRP and
recreating it

Make sure you take a backup before hand, because the above are slightly
destructive...

Try UNchecking "Include this account in the budget
planner" for the account. I'm not kidding. In order to
get a credit card account to show up in my budget planner
I have to UNcheck that setting!

My debt reduction planner is also inoperative. The Get
Started button is apparently enabled, but nothing happens
when I click on it.

I have this problem on my desktop AND my notebook
computer. Both are running Windows XP SP2 RC2.
