    - How to include a pay raise in my budget? Hi All I am using Money 2000 (about to upgrade to 2004). I use the budget extensively have found an annoying problem: when you change your income (or an expense for that matter) up or down Money multiples that increase or decrease back through all your old budget dates. e.g. if you have budgeted for income of 50K per annum and recieved that for the last six months and then you get a raise to 60K it applies the 60K back through those six months making it look like you have recieved less money than you should have when you compare "actual" with "budgeted".     - Problems with base currency in Portfolio I have my base currency set to CAD in my account in portfilio (to match my broker). When I import a statement Money makes a complete hash of the data. Stocks which I have traded on American exchanges are automatically converted to CAD, including the purchase/sell price and the amount and commission. I need this information to remain in USD as the latest price quoted then screws up all of the gains etc... Even if I try to enter the transaction manually it insists on me entering the prices in CAD.     - Wrong Investment in Download Activity I'm running into a frustrating problem that I'm hoping someone has an idea as to how to solve. For what ever reason, Money is trying to match an existing investment to a new investment. Everytime I download my investment statements, it sees I have X shares of MSFT, decides that it doesn't match the existing Microsoft investment, and creates a new investment of "Microsoft Stock". It then adds X shares (essentially doubling it) into the account. I've deleted the "Microsoft Stock" investment multiple times, but it keeps recreating it. How do I get it to match the correct and existing investment rather than creating this bogus one? I believe this came about in that when I set up online transactions, it couldn't identify the shares, and I accidentally set it to it's default rather than matching to the correct investment.     - QIF Import missing Transactions I downloaded a QIF file from my bank and imported it into MS Money 2004 (with all of the latest updates). However, some transactions are missing.     - Problem with Online statement... Money download a statement from netbank, and then told me I had 2 items to review. I went to the account and there were none that I could see. I went up to and selected "see all transactions" instead of just unreconciled ones, and couldn't find them there. I know for a fact that there were 2 new entries from my bank today. I went and did another update from the bank... and then it told me I had 4 items to review (the 2 original, plus I'm guessing a copy of the other 2).     - Yearly snapshot: rate of return is strangely computed! Consider a simple case of $1000 deposited yearly and earning pre-tax rate of return of 10%, inflation rate is 3%. In Jan 2005, $1000 deposited and the Yearly Snapshot shows the total amount (priciple+gains, including inflation) is $1050. Shouldn't it be $1100? Why the gain is 5% instead of 10%? In coming year 2006, again the total amount is $2205 (1050+1000+(1050x10% + 1000x5%)). Shouldn't it be $2310 (1100+1000+(2100x10%))? Not to mention if I checked the including inflation option, the value becomes more bizzare.     - Money statements not downloading properly (Money 2004 Deluxe) For several months, when I download statements in Money format from my banks (direct via their website), the file doesn't make it to Money 2004 Deluxe. I get a popup as if the file is being downloaded but I get no indication from Money that it has been imported properly. It is almost as if the file is 'lost' someplace and Money does not recognize that a download occured. I get similar indications if I download in QIF format but select 'open' vice 'save'. If I download the statement in Quicken qif format and save it to the hard drive and then double click on the QIF file, Money imports it with no problems. Only by 'saving' the file first and double clicking the file, can I get Money to import it. It has been annoying, but I have lived with it, until now. I have an account at another bank and the results have been the same, but this bank does not offer the ability to download Quicken files in QIF format. It offers QFX formats which Money will not recognize, so no bank statements. I have tried "Make sure that in IE6 Tools->InternetOptions->DoNotSaveEncryptedPagesToDisk is not set." as was a suggestion for previous posts, but that doesn't work. Have you tried clicking on the ACCOUNT column header? This puts them in
account order in M04. (You neglect to mention the version you are using.
This is almost always relevant information when posting to the NG.) You
cannot filter the view for just one account, however.

sw,

It's just like Glyn says, just click on the "Account" heading and your
"Bills and Deposits" will be sorted by account [click again it will
reverse alphabetically].

I suggest trying all the columns this way. However, I also suggest
you click on the date column when you're done since this is usually
the most desired "sort".
