On 5/23/2005, Bank of New Hampshire and the other Banknorth divisions
changed their names, web addresses, etc. to TD Banknorth.

Since this happened, I've been unable to connect to my accounts. Money is
still trying to connect to https://secure.banknorth.com instead of
https://secure.tdbanknorth.com, which is causing Money to get an
"index.html" error page instead of an OFX response.

Intuit warned its users of the upcoming change over the weekend, and Quicken
users were able to update their online banking details when the change went
through on Monday.

The only change I've seen so far for Money is that Microsoft has updated the
bitmap logo that appears on the left side of the account register to the TD
Banknorth logo.

As this appears to be a problem with "fipartnr.ini" and the MS-hosted
"*.xml" file it refers to, there's not a lot anyone can do until those files
are updated.

As there isn't an email support link for "Microsoft Money 2004 Premium" I
can't file a support request through email, and I don't particularly feel
like playing phone tag at 3 in the morning.

I was curious if other users were encountering the same problem as I am.

Hi,

I just changed my bank from "Bank of New Hampshire" to "Banknorth
Massachusetts" and am now able to connect with Money 2004 Premium.

I'm not sure if the problem is with how TD Banknorth forwards some of its
old domains to the new domain, or with the data Microsoft keeps in
"fipartnr.ini" and/or the "*.xml" files.

Thank you for posting.

Problem with MS *.xml data, Re: TD Banknorth: Is anyone able to connect with Money? by Scott

I just looked up the "*.xml" file addresses in "fipartnr.ini", and
"6081.xml" for "Banknorth Massachusetts" has the proper address, while
"6083.xml" for "Bank of New Hampshire" still has the old address.

It looks like 6083 was just updated.

When I got home from work, it didn't work. I just checked all the files (I
was going to send a message to TD Banknorth) and they all point to the
correct address. I went back and changed the FI back to Bank of New
Hampshire, and now it works.
