Cannot open Microsoft Monet 2002. I receive the following
message: The Application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate program.

Have restarted computer several times and has not
corrected problem. Until today (9/12) had not had any
problems opening this software.

Do I need to reinstall software?

That is a good first step that has a good likelihood of success.
