Hello,

thanks for the help in advance!!

Using Money 2004 TRIAL. Was going to switch from quicken
to MS because it seemed a lot easier to master.

Both when I DOWNLOAD an an account file from my Credit
Card company and import and also when I use the internet
update to update my checking account, the account summary
on the left of the register shows there are items to
review but nothing shows in the register. I have two
checking accounts at the same bank and the other seems to
work fine so it should reason the problem is not on the
banks end...

I have tried clearing my temp files and deleted cookies
and the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I hope there's help here or Microsoft Money will soon
become "Microsoft Noney."

fyi,

I have used the salv.exe L2 and the report said there
were no probs with the file...I have searched the google
newsgroup and tried all but the export re-import fixes.

Sounds like you have a corrupt account. The easiest way I have found to find
out which account and transaction is to do the following:
1. Create a copy of the original file.
2. Open the copy
3. Start deleting accounts until you find the one that will not delete.
4. Once you find the one that will not delete start deleting transaction. I
would suggest 10-15 days at a time.
5. Once you delete a block of 10-15 try to delete the account again
6. Once you are able to delete the account you have narrowed the bad
transactions down.
7. Make another copy of the original file.
8. Open up new copy and repair the last block that was bad again (step 5)
9.Close and create another copy of new corrected file.
10. Again try to delete the account.
11. Repeat steps 4 through 9 until you fix the account and file.

I had the same problem several time and MS was never able to help. This is
the only way to fix a file that the "salvage" utility will not fix.

You say you have two checking accounts at the same bank. Are you sure you
have them both set up to download correctly. In money help type in two
accounts at the same institution and make sure you have set it up as per the
instructions. Not sure if this is what's wrong, but if none of the fixes
have worked it's worth looking into. The fixes work for almost everyone who
has had this problem.
