I want to block select, previously approved, people from seeing me in IM;
but I still want them to be able to send me email in HotMail.

When I block someone in MSN IM, it seems they can no longer send me email to
my hotmail account.

Some customers just wont leave me alone in IM. They ping me 24x7 for every
little thing. I want to block them in IM. However, I still want them to be
able to send me email to the same Hotmail account. This gives them 2 minutes
to figure out their own issue before they cry for help.

There has to be a setting I am missing that will allow them to send me
email, but block them in IM.

Thanks for the assistance!

Greetings Jim,

Actually the Hotmail blocked list is totally separate from Messenger's. You can block them
all you want and they can still send you e-mail.

What makes you think they're being blocked?

When I have blocked them, they seem to not be able to email me either.

The documentation from Messenger says that if I delete them from my contact
list, I canâ??t see them, but they can still see when Iâ??m online or not.
Yet if I block them, they can't contact me at all.
It is so important to me that the nag customer doesnâ??t know if Iâ??m home or
not.
That is a privacy issue, but if I block them, it is a financial issue.
