7 days without my hotmail account-just shows how much hotmail cares......
hotmail has been fixing this problem of not being able to
sign into hotmail and getting a blank page for 7 days now.
its still not fixed and they always reply and say it'll be
fixed soon and that their technicians are working on it.
If this problem is not fixed in 24 hours I'm ditching

Hotmail access down?
Having read several thread is there a problem with Hotmail access right now?
BAsically the page is slow to load and eventually says done but just displays
a blank white screen. It does this on all computers I use now - yesterday it
did it now and again but now it wont load at all. Same thing occurs for a
couple of friends of mine. Though they have had the problem longer than me.
I dont think this is a cache issue as I have cleared them all and reset
security settings, it has just suddenly gone bad today. Any ideas?

Error Message 1603 when trying to install messenger 7.0
Hi
I am currently running windows xp home. I have downloaded
and tried to install messenger V7.0 but when it gets to
the end of the installation it says a long error report. I
hit ok and it rolls back the installation. When i click
finish it than comes up with the error 1603 and tells me
to download msn messenger again. I can no longer instal
msn messenger V6.0 either because it comes up with the

Cannot access Emails.
I am unable to access my emails in my hotmail inbox. I can

Messemger windows and mac
I hope someone can give me the answer to this. I have a PC with windows XP
and my sister in Europe just purchased a Mac. We installed MSN messenger and
when we log on we can see that we are both online and we can have instant
message (written) conversation however we cannot talk. When I invite her to
have a conversation I get the message that the computer I am trying to call
does not have the capability of having a voice conversation. Are we doing
something wrong, and if yes how can we solve it ... or is this a Microsoft

can't install msm
well where do i start.
I have been trying to install microsoft messnger for a
month now, every time i try to install it i get the old
stopped installation due to error code 1603. seems a lot of
people have had the same problem but to no avail. i have
msm running in some part but can't use the video or audio.
and when i try to install the beta or other versions will
not install because of ERROR 1603 ??????? seems no one can
figure it out.
checked on all sorts of sites and still no answer.

USER NAME/PASS NOT RECOGNIZED
My friend is trying to sign in MSN but when she tries, it
says her username/pass does not exist or is not
recognized.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it ? It
has happened to her before, she tries again later and
eventually it works. This time it doesn't seem to work at
all.

peoples contacts disappearing
i heard heard alot of ppl say contacts of msn messenger
are disappearing. also I've have had random ppl add me to
my contact list and I talk to them and they said they
didn't even try to add me and I don't even know them. I

MSN Contact Disappear
I signed on today and 2 of my msn contacts under my family
category has diappeared. I noticed it right off because the

can't get webcam to work
i can't get my messenger to configure my cam. i went to tools, audio/video
tuning wizard. i made sure my cam is plugged in and clicked next, then i
selected my cam (ATI TV WONDER CAPTURE) and click next and then my computer
reboots. it dose this all the time. i use the ATI TV WONDER CAPTURE for my
other programs but will not work for MSN MESSENGER. the reason I use the ATI

Webcam can not work in "Audi/video tuning wizard" but can work in "Web Cam setting"
I has a USB web camera. It's find out that it can not works in "Audi/video
tuning wizard" . It said that "The camera you selected is not working
properly, or may be in use by another program."
But actually, there are not application to use the camera. And the camera

BETA 7 and HALO pack
Hi all, I have the beta running on 2 PC's PC one can download the HALO
pack, and use it fine, PC 2 only sees white boxes under Packs, I have
uninstalled/reinstalled and formatted the PC, same issue.

Just got MSN Messenger v7 beta working thru ZoneAlarm.
Zone alarm has to have the IP address of both computers.
Reminder: don't assume they do. Just check to verify.
I want MSN Messenger to connect via local IP addresses
instead of thru internet email addresses.
Anyone know if I can set MSN Messenger to connect thru a
local hub instead of thru the internet.
as in... one comupter is at the front of the house on the
first floor and another computer in the back of the house
on the top floor.
Both are connected via the same hub so I don't need MSN
Messenger to connect via the internet.
I want MSN Messenget to connect via the hub/directly via
ip addresses.

Msn Won't Install
Hey, it's me again. No one responded for hours so i'm
going to post again.
OK, so when the programs is installing everything is
going well. But later when it's done or almost done a box
pops up and it says An error has occured during the
installation of the assembly component.

Audio with MSN Mess. 6.2 and XP_SP2 - Another testimonial
I have the same problem. I am looking through forums, newsgroups, websites
and tech notes all over the place. The conclusion I have come to is that
there is a possible combatability issue between SBC, netgear routers and XP
sp2. Preferably the last has caused the probblems. Before Oct. 2004
everything was working. After that two things happened. First, SBC was doing
repairs at our neiborhood (service was on and off all the time) and second I
installed sp2. Now I am administering 3-4 computers at various locations but
with the same OSs, namely XP-sp2. When I connect to overseas from the
university everything is OK When I connect through the router (at home) to
any computer connected to the router, also everything OK. However, I have
audio connectivity problems when I connect from home through the router and
through the Cable modem (the network is using cable modem around the
subdivision then connects to SBC's leased line or something, I'm not sure).
I don't have an IP address dedicated to my connection (the router's IP looks
like 172.0.0.xx so I'm guessing it takes it from another router) but when I
log on to sites that tell you your IP, I get an SBC, Ameritech IP (checking
its DNS). Now going back to the connectivity issue, this is what happens:
With MSN Messenger 6.2, I can use File transfers, video (both ways), chat,
haven't tried remote assistance but when audio is involved nothing happens.
Noone hears nothing. With Netmeeting (NM) the person can hear me I can't
hear him. But NM needs I think a specific IP. I have found a direct VoIP
client (Voiperized for anyone intrested) that also has the same effect: I
don't hear a thing but the other side can hear me. Then there is Skype. I
have installed that on my University computer and at home but havn't been
able to connect because of audio issues. (I have to be at the office and
someone has to be at home, I can't try with remote desktop). But the
drawback with skype is that the download is 10MB and to ask someone to
download it through dialup is too much if I am not sure that it is going to
work.
So that is my situation. I don't know if I mentioned that before October
everything was working fine with MSN Messenger.
My solution is to wait. Either some MS update, the next version of MSN
Messenger or a Firmware upgrade for my netgear router. Tag: unreliable hotmail Tag: 61678

Ok, it used to work fine.
I tried setting up ICS Internet connection sharing on our small network,
then decided it was a bad idea, now MSN Messenger has trouble connecting.
If I set messenger not to start with windows, but to manually start once
dialup is connected it's OK.
If dialup connection is lost > then reconnected messenger won't connect
(error 0x81000365)
If I exit from messenger in taskbar then manually run messenger it's OK.
Any ideas.

I have a weird problem on my work computer.
I have many users in my MSN, When a user changes his nick I can see the
change. Exept for one user, I see only the full name of that user.
However if I login to MSN using web messenger or from my home computer I see
this users nick correct.

work. so then i uninstaled msn messenger 6.2 thinking that
that might fix the problem, but it didn't. so then i tried
to re-instal 6.2 and i got it to load all the way then the
