stuck on signing out

Hi,

If I've been logged onto messenger for a few minutes, it
then automatically tries to log itself out, the screen
displays 'signing out' and it is stuck unless I reboot my
pc.

stopping and restarting messenger alone has no effect.

any ideas?

i'm running win 98

First, windows 98's file system (FAT32) isn't very reliable compared to NTFS
or even EXT2/EXT3/XFS. I would check the hard drive for errors. Also, you
may want to try uninstalling and then reinstalling msn messenger, but
before reinstalling dump the temporary files folder of windows
(C:\Windows\Temp or C:\WINNT\Temp).
