Hey,

You can use TweakUI to hide the Email notification in the Welcome screen. To
download TweakUI, please go to
http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once you have downloaded it, please run it and follow the following
instructions to hide it:

1. Run Tweak UI
2. On the left pane, expand + besides Logon
3. Click on Unread Mail
4. On the right pane, uncheck "Show unread mail on welcome screen"

Hope this helps.

Crapit,

If you do not want Windows to login into your Hotmail account entirely, I
suggest that you remove the .NET passport association with your user
account.

To remove this, click the Start Button, then click the Control Panel. Then,
click User
Accounts in the Control Panel. Select the Windows XP account name you're
currently logged
under, and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click
'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net* (Passport)
entry and click
'Remove'.Hope this helps.

Greetings,

It actually grabs this number when you sign into Messenger (or you use Outlook); it doesn't
actually sign into the website behind your back (or anything like that).
