I know that there is a registry tweak that makes the system such that when
you go to sign-in to MSN Messenger, the previous user IDs NEVER show up in a
drop-down list. I did this to one computer and need to it to another one -
but I cannot find the tweak. Anyone out there know what it is?

Thanks

Greetings,

I believe you're referring to this:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg
You'll need to reboot to see the change.

Thanks for the tweak to eliminate the hotmail sign-in history from the frop
down.

NOW - is there a way such that when I link to my HOTMAIL from messenger, it
opens it in the DO NOT REMEMBER MY LOGIN mode?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but you can force it to ask you for a login/password when
you go to Hotmail by clicking the Tools menu in Messenger, then Options, then Privacy tab,
check 'Always ask me for my password when checking Hotmail or opening other .NET
Passport-enabled Web pages' and click OK.

If you mean just Hotmail "remembering" your name, I don't think there's any way to stop that
from happening (without deleting the cookie anyway).

You are on the right track.... If you open HOTMAIL after using Messenger to
open the hotmail account - Hotmail remembers the ID. Thanks for you
assistance
