can not sighn in to messenger

first thing is when i download the messenger i get an x in
the middle when its done so is it not installed right?why
am i getting that x?when i try to sighn in either its a
trouble shoot problem but when i test it it says its
fine ..or its try again later 800...please help

Click on START, then RUN, then copy and paste this command:

regsvr32 softpub.dll wintrust.dll initpki.dll dssenh.dll
rsaenh.dll gpkcsp.dll sccbase.dll slbcsp.dll cryptdlg.dll


(this is one command. its all in one)

Click OK, open up MSN and it *should* work.
