problems with msn messenger sound alerts

I have a big problem with getting the msn sound alerts to work. it just
doesnt play sounds with new messages and stuff even though sounds are
set to be on. i know my sound card is working fine and all other sounds
on the computer work. ive tried the volume and everything too. when i
go into sound setting it plays the sound file as a preview but doesnt
work normally. im really confused and really need to get this working. ive
also tried re-installing. thanks in advance.

I have the exact same problem would someone please let us know how to fix
this it is so frustrating

Well I do have the same problem, and i guess it's because im using an
AMD 64bits computer, I don tknow if you guys have 64bits proccesor on
your.
Sorry but i have no idea how to fix it yet
