I have read everything i am suppose to do and checked all my firewalls and
everything. They are all allowing the messenger. And this has occured on your
7.5 version and your 8.0 version. However it does not occur on your 7.0
version so i would really like an explaination why your old version lets me
get on perfectly and even with my firewall completely shut off your messenger
7.5 and 8.0 refuse to let me in i would really like an explaination A.S.A.P
if its not to much truoble.

Greetings,

If it works on 7.0 and not newer versions, it usually indicates either a problem with
Internet Explorer (do you use IE?) or your firewall software isn't recognizing 7.5 or 8.x as
the Messenger you gave access to leave the firewall.

You might consider completely removing the firewall to see if it works after that, and then
reinstalling it.

I also had this problem, seemed SSL 1.0/2.0/3.0 where all three disabled!

(IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Security:
- Use SSL 2.0
- Use SSL 3.0
- Use TLS 1.0

Hopes this helps a lot of people... :-)

Greetings,

Yes, SSL is required for authentication and Messenger uses the same interface IE does.
