Greetings BW,
Depending on what firewall it is, it could have the ports opened for Windows Messenger 4.7
but does not for MSN Messenger 6. If it's Norton, Mcafee, etc. you'll need to go into the
firewall configuration and set up MSN Messenger 6 as an "allowed program" and setting it to
"Allow All" or "Permit All" (unfortunately the options differ in name within most firewalls).
If you tell us which firewall you're using, we can help you out if need be.
