    - contact adding problem alot of ppl are saying that they can't add any more contacts when they have less than 150 contacts.     - Losing sent messages & cam/audio requests When chatting with friends, we seem to keep losing messages and cam/audio requests. Usually, when we first sign in to MSN, one friend will send a cam request. I accept and all is fine. Then he sends an audio request. This seems to take much longer than ever before, but ultimately connects. Then we start chatting. Inevitablty, I will see my friend typing and then back away from the cam, having finished sending his message. Then after a few moments of silence, he asks "where are you". There are times when he types multiple messages and I don't get them. Sometimes the cam stops, and he sends and sends a request and it just does not get to me. If I log out of MSN and come back in, the next time he sends a cam request or text, I get a series of prior request or chat message attempts. We both have Windows XP. I have a netgear router WGR614 v4. All firewalls are off, as well as QoS on both computers. I am using a cable modem, he is using ADSL. The same thing happens with another friend, although we don't cam. The first time one of us sends a file, all is ok, Bit afterwards, if he sends me files or I send him files, I usually have to send a few times and most often log out and log in again. Again, we then see the prior multiple attempts. The first friend and I BOTH ran that WinSockFixXP. It didn't do any harm to me, but my friend who has the ADSL connection completely lost his network settings and internet connection. It took us weeks to restore it completely.     - Uninstal Hi there, I have been experiencing difficulties with my MSN, so I want to uninstal and the reinstal new version. I go to control panel, remove program, but cannot find a listing that MSN is currently installed so that I can uninstal. However, the icon is in the tool bar and I can access MSN.     - SP2/Outlook/MSN Messenger Install I just installed XP SP-2. All went well. I have Windows Messenger on my PC, which I use 95% of the time. I also have MSN Messenger 6.2 installed so that I can chat to a friend using video (she does not have XP). After installing SP-2 I started Windows Messenger; no problem. Then I ran Outlook (latest version with all the patches) and a box popped up saying that it was repairing MSN Messenger 6.2. Why is this? First, what did SP-2 do to force the repair?     - one sised audio problem Hi there, I am having a problem with one of my 2 contacts. We can BOTH connect to other people and have 2 way audio conversations perfectly but when we connect with each other I can only hear them, they cannot hear me although my mic is working fine. I was running a D-Link router/firewall and thought that was the problem so I removed it and am now running the latest Zonealarm. Still no luck, so I shut off Zonealarm briefly to try and still no luck so to me it seems it is not a firewall problem. We are both running 6.2. Any help would be appreciated.     - quick question ... interesting suggestion Is there a place to log suggestions? Other parents/friends I speak with wrestle with the same problem. Instant messenger is addictive. There has got to be a way to control access to it, but also let them leave their away message. Maybe the answer is that one does not actually log off the PC, but the parent can control when they can use it ... and when messages contine to pop at them.     - Solution to audio problems with SP2 I've posted a few times in the past month that I was having bandwidth problems while doing audio chat after the SP2 upgrade. I few others have mentioned the same thing, it appears that the problems occur with people who have dsl using PPPOE connection. The solution is to completly uninstall QOS. By simply not checking the QOS box in the adapter properties is not enough, it needs to be uninstalled. After uninstalling it, everything is back to normal (pre SP2).     - MSN webcam problems hello, i am running windows XP proffesional with a D-Link router. My problem is when i come to use my webcam with my contacts. Generaly its fine using jsut one webcam with a person, but when it comes to using my webcam and my contacts webcam (so i can view them), the connection on my router crashes and i have to reset it. Now i want to kno why it works with some people and not others? i also cannot receive or send files through MSN.     - Creative Webcam Hello. I have a Creative Webcam. It works in it's own program but it will not work on MSN Messenger. MSN recognizes the webcam, but if I try to use it, the webcam screen goes black and the connection is terminated between myself and whoever I am trying to webcam with.
