After I type my password and hit "login", it will try to
log in for about 1 minute, then just go back to asking me
for my username and psswd. No error message.

Suggestions?

Greetings John,

You may need to completely remove your Messenger settings and then try again. To do so,
assuming you're using Windows XP, close MSN Messenger if it's running by right-clicking the
Messenger icon in the notification area (by the clock) and choose Exit. Then, click Start,
then Run, then type:
%appdata%\microsoft
and click OK.

Right-click the MSN Messenger folder and choose Delete. After all this, restart Messenger
and see if the problem has been corrected.
