installing msn messenger

i previously had msn messenger 6.2 on my computer.. it
was uninstalled correctly but now when i try to reinstall
6.2(what i had before) or beta (what im wanting) it gives
me a message saying for example: msn messenger 6.2 was
not installed error code "1603" and another thing shows
up saying HRESULT: -2147024894 ... please help me i dont
know what else to try.. i have windows xp

Hello Katie
1. Close all applications, update your Windows =
(http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and restart the computer.
2. Visit http://messenger.msn.com (or =
http://messenger.msn.com/Beta/Default.aspx), and then try to download =
MSN Messenger again.
3. Close/disable your antivirus, disable the TeaTimer (SpybotS&D) or the =
Ad-Watch (Ad-aware)
4. Try to install the MSN Messenger again.

ok i tried them both.. they didnt make a difference..
