    - secirity/password Q I share my desktop with someone and both the newer version of windows messenger and msn6.2 are great, however, once I sign out, it shows a prompt where one click can sign back in under my account. I have all of the settings showing to ask for passwords, etc...but what's the point if anyone can sign back in without needing the password? My problem is that once in msn, first of all aomeone could impersonate me, and secondly (and more important in this instance) is that someone , once in msn, can get to my hotmail email account.     - Error Code 0x81000370 - Still Happening I tried logging in Saturday morning and I couldn't login to MSN Messenger. I've been trying constantly since then to get my MSN up and running. When I try to login I get this message: There was a problem connecting you to MSN Messenger. Click to Troubleshoot for help with this problem. Error Code: 0x81000370 I ran the Troubleshoot and it said that it found no problems with the connectivity or my settings. I've gone in to the Connection section (under Tools) and everything is set properly. I have checked my .Net Passport and I can login fine online. I have done that RUN regsvr32 softpub.dll thing people have said to do. I have restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled numerous times. I have run various virus software and spyware programs. I can login into my other chat programs: ICQ, YAHOO!, and AOL Instant Messenger just fine. All the friends I've talked to have had no problem logining into MSN Messenger. I can login to Web Messenger (Make sure you have netscape 7.2 otherwise you can login but you won't be able to see who's online...rather pointless then). I have Window's XP and am using High Speed Cable Rogers Internet, everything is up to date...all patches and such downloaded. I have MSN Messenger Version 6.2. I was wondering if anyone knew how I can solve this problem with MSN??? as it is extremely frustrating (for everyone who has had this problem). If there could be verification on if this is a server problem that happened with some of the Accounts (because only some people have it not everyone) that would be great..     - MSN Messenge 6.2 - basic application sounds Hello! My application is working fine except that the basic sounds are not working. When some of my friends do connect I want to be 'alerted', not happening. Also, when I receive an instant msg I want to be notified with the so familiar sound, but it is not happening either.     - MSN 7.0 BETA Log In Error I get a 80072f0d error. I uninstalled, reinstalled. Uninstalled, reinstalled 6.2 and then could not log on with it either. Here is al list of the things i tried that didnt work - Removed & Reinstalled MSN messenger - Install a diffirent Client version of MSN - Rebooted my computer - Tried to sign in with another email adress - Adjusted my security/privacy levels - Adjusted my proxy/LAN settings - Removed Messenger plus - Defragmentation of My harddisk Anyone else has found a solution For this problem, its really frustrating, the only thing left i can do is reinstall windows, and format my computer, and that isnt something you want to do.     - SOmething wrong? bcos of TROJAN! HELP! my pc was hit by TROJAN HORSE virus. I used norton anti-virus to do a full scan but there was a particular file named "ae1af.dll" couldnt be deleted. I have been emailing Microsoft and MSN regarding this issue and aside from accualy having someone from Microsoft or MSN come to my computer, Im not getting any results. I keep having the "E-mail Address Not Verfied" next to my name and still havent recieved any email about Verifing it. Everytime I email Microsoft or MSN about this I get a email back explaining how to reset my password. I am really confused because I dont want to reset my password I want to get the email from Passport Member Servces so I can Verify my email so I can start using it propery via messnger/outlook express. I know alot of this is confusing and I just wish I could possibly speak to someone from Microsoft or MSN just to fix this issue intead of constantly trade emails.
