    - Delete Contacts Hi, I am using the current beta version of MSN Messenger. I got hit by a couple of "spammer" type of contacts. For example, one idiot with the address of humpedjerk@hotmail.com wanted me to accept him (assuming a male) as a contact. I declined his invitation. Now his address is in my "block list". How do I get rid of or simply delete idiots like this? I have checked "Only people on my Allow List can see my status and see me messages," so I really don't need to block this idiot. But I would like to keep my "allow" and "block" lists clean and uncluttered. Unfortunately, I have three of these idiots who are cluttering up my block list. I tried right mouse clicking and trying the "delete" command, but it is already "grayed out." Does anyone know how I can remove people like humpedjerk@hotmail.com and husenaswat69@hotmail.com? I have absolutely no idea who they are and would certainly like to remove them. I temporarily allowed husen as a contact as a curiousity. I was sent a bunch of links, which I did not follow. Asshats. Any advice on how to clean up my block list would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice is MSN allowed us to pull our addresses away from those we don't like.     - messenger probs! (i think) After enduring a msn pop-up that asks "a new version of messenger exists, do you want to update?" with "yes" or "no" but no option to never ask again, I finally wore down and clicked "yes"... After I restarted and clicked onto my profile my desktop appears for a few seconds then the messenger window pops up and my entire desktop (save my desktop background) goes away. I then cannot do anything. The sand timer appears every once and awhile for a moment then goes away. I try to hit ctl-alt-del but aside from the sand- timer briefly appearing, nothing else happens...     - Outlook Express and Windows vs. MSN Messenger Hi, I'm having a problem with Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP SP2. Outlook Express apparently interfaces with Windows Messenger, not MSN Messenger as in previous Windows versions, so unless I have Windows Messenger running, I don't see the online/offline status of people in my Address Book. The problem is, I prefer using MSN Messenger, but even with MSN Messenger loaded and signed in, I still can't see the online/offline status in the address book because Windows Messenger is not loaded/signed in. Is there anyway to fix this problem? I want to use MSN Messenger and see the online/offline status in Outlook Express, just as in previous Windows versions.     - Some contacts not appearing online when they are Hi, I have MSN Msgr 6.2 and Windows Msgr 5.1 and have about 5 out of 15 contacts who never appear online, even though they are online. The e-mail addresses are definitely correct, they are not blocked and have not blocked me, and I have tried deleting then adding them again. Is there anything that might cause this?     - Does MSN 7.0 Beta break your internet connection HI, Apologies about my last post. Our interent connection has been terrible over the last few weeks. It constantly drops the connection especially in the evenings. I have been told by some people that MSN 7.0 Beta can muck up your internet connection, I want ot know if this is true or not.     - webcam capture hello I am making a program that intercepts and saves the video data sent from a normal webcam conversation (both parties know there is a webcam being shown). I've been able to identify and record the video packets, but I don't know what video encoding/compression it uses. so I can't playback. Does anybode know what video compression is used?     - Help! How to remove MSN Messenger alerts.... Can anyone tell me how to safely stop the MSN Messenger alerts from popping up? Every time I sign on, a box pops up informing me that "a newer version of Messenger is available" asking me if I want to update and I always have to click on the "No" to make it disappear. I noticed when i "travelled around" on Microsoft download pages that MSN Messenger 5.0 for Win95 is till downloadable at microsoft although all the users are forced to update their Messengers to the newest one. Actually you can't just delete your profile. You can clear out the information in it (as
you've probably already discovered) but you can't remove it entirely.
