    - Outlook Express and Windows vs. MSN Messenger Hi, I'm having a problem with Outlook Express 6 in Windows XP SP2. Outlook Express apparently interfaces with Windows Messenger, not MSN Messenger as in previous Windows versions, so unless I have Windows Messenger running, I don't see the online/offline status of people in my Address Book. The problem is, I prefer using MSN Messenger, but even with MSN Messenger loaded and signed in, I still can't see the online/offline status in the address book because Windows Messenger is not loaded/signed in. Is there anyway to fix this problem? I want to use MSN Messenger and see the online/offline status in Outlook Express, just as in previous Windows versions.     - Some contacts not appearing online when they are Hi, I have MSN Msgr 6.2 and Windows Msgr 5.1 and have about 5 out of 15 contacts who never appear online, even though they are online. The e-mail addresses are definitely correct, they are not blocked and have not blocked me, and I have tried deleting then adding them again. Is there anything that might cause this?     - 0x81000303 I've tried to sign into my messenger by it keeps displaying the code 0x81000303, the password is definately right and it works on my friends computer. I have windows 98 and have made sure that the check for server certificate revocation is not set and that the Use SSL 2.0 and 3.0 are checked and entered regsvr32 softpub.dll into run, however it still will not work. It constantly drops the connection especially in the evenings. I have been told by some people that MSN 7.0 Beta can muck up your internet connection, I want ot know if this is true or not.     - Problems signing in I've been having problems logging on to my msn messenger and checking my emails since yesterday.     - webcam capture hello I am making a program that intercepts and saves the video data sent from a normal webcam conversation (both parties know there is a webcam being shown). I've been able to identify and record the video packets, but I don't know what video encoding/compression it uses. so I can't playback. Does anybode know what video compression is used? I would then look for either a program that can play it back or decode it, or a program that does webcam conversation in the same protocol and make a fake webcam user that just replays the data the has already been saved. help... please...     - Privacy of sign-in names on MSN Messenger Friends used my laptop (with Win XP) to check Hotmail accounts via MSN Messenger and now their log-in names come up as choices along with my own, when I try to log in. I tried to remove these, for privacy, but to no avail. When they signed in, they clicked the option of their details not being saved "on a public computer" but it hasn't worked.     - Help! How to remove MSN Messenger alerts.... Can anyone tell me how to safely stop the MSN Messenger alerts from popping up? Every time I sign on, a box pops up informing me that "a newer version of Messenger is available" asking me if I want to update and I always have to click on the "No" to make it disappear. It is very annoying because I never uses Messenger. Last week, I tried to stop the alert box from popping up by going ahead and downloading the new version (that I would never use) and the result was that I was unable to sign it to MSN - getting an error message that I downloaded a version of Messenger "no designated for this computer" (?) Receiving no help from 6 different Dell tech support staff (whose textbook answers were "uninstall/reinstall windows and MSN"), I created a restore point from 2 days ago...and now I'm back to square one.     - How to get immediate Hotmail login? On my older computer I had an icon near the top of my Start menu that let me immediately log in to my Hotmail account. Greetings Steve,

Unfortunatly you can't be this specific with the tabs, but you can just turn them off all
together. To do so, within his account, click the Tools menu, then Options, then Privacy
tab, select "This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs" and click OK.
