Greetings Vladimir,
On your local network, the video connections will go directly from to your contact on the
local network *but* the MSN Messenger (the .NET Messenger Service) is still required to
sign-in, send messages, and send the invitation(s) to start a webcam conversation.
For a local solution, you would have to use either an Exchange 2000 IM server or Live
Communications Server 2003 with Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger Connect. Also, for the
Exchange/Live Comm. solutions with Windows Messenger, Windows XP would be required for video
