why cant i sign in and why has netscape took over my comp

i cant get into msn to e-mail or anything ...i also have
pop ups when ever i try and they`re always casino
ones ....also why when i had an update a few months ago
from microsoft did netscape take over my comp and i cant
seem to get rid of it ..i changed my home page again but
cant get rid of netscape ...can anyone help me here
please !!

Greetings Ronnic,

Firstly, what happens when you try to sign into Messenger or "e-mail"?

Secondly, you may want to scan your system for "Spyware"-type applications using both these
tools:
http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download
and/or
http://spybot.eon.net.au
This should remove any "rogue" pop-ups like the Casino ones you're seeing (assuming you're
not doing any active web browsing at the time). You may want to install something like the
Google Toolbar
(http://toolbar.google.com/) which can eliminate pop-up windows while you're browsing.

Finally, you can remove Netscape by clicking Start, then Settings (if you're not using XP),
then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs (or Add or Remove Programs), find Netscape in
the list and remove it.

Popups: either get a better internet browser or don't complain. It's sad
that a user must download a 3rd party application just to tell their
browser what to do. I hope the microsoft internet explorer people are
listening ...
Netscape: didn't you install it yourself? Then contact netscape and tell
them you want help removing it. I don't think netscape did it by itself.
If it did, you need to pay a little more attention to your computer.

I personally don't know of any application that installs Netscape
here....then again these days you never know anymore either ;-)

True, I don't know of whatever installs gator.com's spyware/adware either,
except that IE is krappy enough to just allow it without any questions.
