I have found that when the sign-in prompt comes up for
messenger, all email addresses that have previously been
used from this computer are shown in a drop-down box from
the "email address" field. I have "autocomplete" turned
off in internet explorer, but the addresses continue to
appear in both windows messenger (for XP) and MSN
messenger (which I downloaded). Is there any way that you
can stop these addresses appearing as options?

Greetings Alex,

To stop these from being saved and appearing, simply download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/disablenetcreds.reg

After running/importing, you'll need to reboot to see the change.
