MSN 7.0 audio/ webcam Crash

Hi,

Every time I try to use Audio/ Webcam or even by clicking on Webcam Settings
for MSN 7.0, it will result in an immediate crash.

Both audio and webcam worked perfectly fine for me with MSN 6.2. I'm using
Windows XP with SP2 installed, and I prefer the functions of MSN 7.0 to 6.2.

Any advice please on how to solve this for MSN 7.0? Many thanks!

Hi,

The model of my webcam is Creative Webcam NX Ultra. Was using the same
webcam with MSN version 6.2.

had the same using my webcam functionality on XP SP2
webcam was perfectly ok in *all* other apps
switched to using Trillian Pro
everything works well now, even with msn clients

Unfortunately, I'm not using Trillian Pro as most of my friends are only
using MSN. Yup I've checked but I don't think there are any updated drivers
for my webcam...

Trillian Pro is compatible with MSN, ICQ, Yahoo chat, IRC,.....
Replaces all of them, even simultaneous, so you have one client able to chat
to them all whatever type your chat partner uses.
Maybe just check it out, and maybe you'll find it worth wile too

Thanks alot Peterken for the suggestion. I will try out Trillian Pro if I am
still not able to solve the problem.

In the meantime, if anyone can help with geting MSN 7.0 webcam/ audio to
work without crashing, would really appreciate it!

I have the same problem. I have a cs120 intel webcam and its always worked
on msn till just recently. I checked for updated drivers and there are NO
new ones, even after a very exhaustive search. I can't use older versions of
msn because it always requires me to update to msn 7.0. I used to have the
msn 7.0 beta and it worked on there so i don't know whats going on. I'm
going to trillian pro.
